When I try to go to the PPT IRC chat thing, all I get is a red X where the chat room should be. BTW, nothing popped up asking me to install something.

There was a network switch for the chatroom (the place it was being hosted) It has been moved and now I have to replace some of the code. Should be fixed within the week. Sorry about that :(

Hopefully it will be even better and easier to use than before =o

Gah! I went to the chat place (the link in your siggy, SyNiX) and McAfee detected (and deleted) a trojan! Maybe the admin should know about this? Or is it just my VirusScan overreacting to the chat room?

(I figured this was relevant to the topic. If it's not...then mods, please delete my post.)

erm...well there's a number of rumours that theres some virus on ppt's front page, these are most likely just vb scripts that some spyware ad thingies have..

I can assure you it's not in any way related to the chat itself especially since the host site is dead which is also what has caused the chat applet to not work.

Check out this thread: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14816

and just a fyi....mcafee 2005 detects things far from viruses as viruses/trojans/worms..its so inaccurate that I ended up uninstalling it from my computer..might look into norton =o
