In todays paper there's an article about a guy brandishing toy wepaons (believed to be real) outside a school in Auckland, the police almost had to shoot him.

Today was actually the most fun day ever. Only 300 out of 1800 kids were at school, and my largest class only had 7 people in it. I did nothing all day, and they let us leave early.

Yeah, nothing big happened, and I'm glad I went 'cause all my teachers were handing out bonus points to the people who showed up x)

I doubt much of a threat ever existed, or they prooved the threat faulty. I doubt they would of let school go on today if the possibility existed.

But hey, awesome on the bonus marks, eh?

Wow...my school was like that when we had a threat. I didn't get any bonus points though.

Of course, now that I have the time to be paranoid (spring break), I'm worrying that the sniper's going to strike the Monday we all get back...when the security is gone and everyone's forgotten all about it...

Well, remember tosit near peoplke who you hate, and keep thick metal objects in all your pockets, and place thick metal at the bits that you feel unsure about (e.g. Metal plate over your heart, metal pants, metal mask etc.) and you'll be fine. You'll get a few funny looks though. And I'm glad nothing happened. But I want to go to school where you are! The most exciting thing that happened at my school was when the roof of the games hall blew off and flattened the headteacher's car. And that is only just beating the gas leak at the games. hall. My big sister was doing gym at the time in a soccer shirt and soccer shirts and it was just approaching winter. She couldn't get changed and she couldn't get back in to get any of her stuff. She was absolutely frozen that day!

There was an attempted take over at one of the high schools in my area.

Some kids tried to kill the teachers and hold the kids hostage in the gym killing them off one by one. Luckily it was stopped before anything real bad could happen.

I'm lucky I'm going to one of the better high schools in my area.

Wow. I would so like to go to your school.

Most exciting thing that happened at our school would either be when they put solar pannels on the roof or someone brought a dog to school.

Not joking.

I don't think it's the same, Amethyst mentioned that their school is in their Spring Break week right now I thought. And this is Minnesota right? I think Amethyst is from a different state, still though this is very sad and an awful thing to happen or go through.

According to her LJ userinfo, Amethyst's from Ohio.

That said, the shooting is very sad :(

I heard about the shooting last night. My mom thinks it's really coincidental that my school was all excited about a sniper or something, and then the same thing happens in Minnesota.

Really horrible, though...I'm so thankful it didn't happen to us...

It wasn't really a sniper, or even an organised event. It was just angsting teenager with a shotgun/hand guns.

I seriously think anyone under 17 taking anti-depressants need to be monitered more. Most shootings wouldn't happen with close monitoring.

I'm glad to see your school's safe. :)

My shcool isn't much better. Last year someone was caught with a gun in his locker and this year someone was caught with drugs. Creepy. In Columbus, OH, there's been 3 incidents of students w/ guns at school. A kid shot himself in the hand in one case.

Hahaha, I'm back!
I'd like to thank me for this nice set. :P
