Easter, time when all those marshmallow peeps come out on the shelves. I don't like them much, don't know why they are so popular. They taste like food coloring to me. I do however like cadbury eggs, only time they have them in the states is during easter, well at least in VA.

How about you tell us why you like easter, and why it's fun to you angelfire, that would help lead the thread more towards interesting posting :)

Marshmallow Peeps taste best when they get stale. I just unwrap them and leave them out for a few days until they get nice and hard. Then they taste better.

I'm a total Cadbury egg addict. Every year I say I'm gonna buy a ton of them so I can have them year round, but it never happens. I've gotten to the point lately where I only want to eat the creme, and not the chocolate shell though. I normally like English chocolate, but for some reason I can't stand Cadbury chocolate anymore.

This social club thing my grandmother used to belong to would have these massive Easter egg hunts. I loved it. The plastic eggs all had candy in them, and some of them had money inside. It was awesome.

Oh no, take it away!!! How can you say you leave chocolate? Today has been full of these horrendous posts OMG, not the chocolate. What has it done to you!! :(

I don't know that I've ever really done an easter egg hunt. Well we had one in fifth grade once, it was in the school's front yard. I had fun, back then the school had a forest infront of it so it was neat, however nothing was hidden in the forest but poison ivy :). We weren't allowed to go into the woods, but you know kids, always had to insist that the eggs got hidden or moved into the woods.

I do remember one time having breakfast with the easter bunny, I was 7 or eight or 25 :P.

*drools at the thought* I love Cadbury Creme Eggs. My Mum starts buying them as soon as they start coming out in stores for Easter, often when she goes shopping she buys enough so there is enough for one for for each family member in the fridge. I like the middle too, by the time I get around to eating the chocolate I've usually had a sugar overdose.

I wonder if we'll be having an Easter Egg hunt this year, its sort of like our family tradition, I may be getting a bit old for it now but it is lots of fun and it is nice to race my brother to finding the most eggs :D

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter!

I've always thought that those Jello eggs look great in the commercial. I'd attempt to make them, but I know mine would just fall apart. I tend to not have luck with Jello.

I like those.. things. They're like these weird oblong marshmallow eggs. They come in various shades of colour. They have a candy coating, and inside they're marshmallow. But it's not a really soft marshmallow, it's this harder stuff... like what those Circus Peanut candy things are made out of.
Am I making any sense at all? I like those.. but it's weird, I sort of find them gross, but I like them anyway.

It's totally past my bedtime. I'll shut up now.

Really? I've never had problems finding Dark Chocolate eggs, I even got given a load of them for Easter years ago from a friend and her family and I basically had to force-feed myself to eat them. I'm not a fan of Dark Chocolate, I'll eat it but it is not sweet enough for me to really enjoy. Each to their own.

I have the same feelings on dark chocolate, but its a bit too rich for me. Or something. Maybe it isn't sweet enough... Hmm..

My favorite chocolate, though, would definately have to be White Chocolate. ^.^ So yummy. The first time I got it was on *Gasp* Easter however long ago that was. Five or six years ago.

Needless to say, I now poke through my Easter Basket looking for White Chocolate every year... that bunny was the largest bit I've ever had of it, though... *Mouth waters*

I <3 dark chocolate. I can't eat much milk chocolate. I especially do not like Hersheys milk chocolate. Russel Stovers is good, though. :) Dark chocolate oranges are the best. <3

Actually, I just found out Easter was this Sunday. I thought it was later. lol My sister called and asked if we had used the Hello Kitty easter egg decorations yet. I remarked it was a bit earlier and that's when she told me it is this Sunday. >.<

We have so much to go out and buy. We needs baskets filled with yummies and toys for the girls, decorations, etc. The girls had hairbands with bunny ears a bit ago, but there wasn't enough for everyone, so maybe we can find a couple more. :)

i would say that peeps are my easter drug of choice. i dont have them until after easter though, because they're really cheap! like, a dime for the pack of five. mini-eggs are also quite good.

I don't get it, why the peeps. My coworker likes them a lot too, I never really have. I can't imagine them being better stale saph :P, however maybe they taste like meringue or something when they get harder. I like to get the easter candy after easter as well Moogie, way cheaper. The only bad thing to waiting after easter is that the cadbury eggs are usually gone by then.

yeah, there are some items that dont have that long of a shelf life, because they get bought up and eaten so quickly! the thing about peeps for me at least is the texture, i love just eating sprinkles (bad for your teeth chidlren, do not recreate this stunt) and the marshmellow and spirnkle combinaiton is just perfect.

sapph: i've been meaning to try stale peeps, this year, definately.
