I agree with you that despite the fact the creator of the screen shot's original intention was to freak us out, it works equally well as a conversation piece. I think that would make a great mutant Gelert!

Haha, but did you know it actually WON the gelert vote contest? Yep, it's true. A neopets group wanted it to win, so they collected everyone's vote at the neoboards(they told them to vote for it) and it ended that that gelert won. But, neo, as cutefysing as they were decided to combine the runner-ups and make today's gelert.

As a person whose main pet was a gelert for two years (and who still has a gelert today), I would have been less than thrilled if TNT had actually let that thing win.

Personally I was hoping for gelert 5, as that probably wouldn't have resulted in the murder of the faerie gelert.
