Wierdest weather?

No strange weather here. Well... we didn't get any violent snow this year in Southern Illinois. We usually have weeks off of school at a time. Not one snow day this year.

Are you Canadian? Do you have any reason to take offence to it? No. I've spent years dealing with stereotypes like that. And i'm tired of it. Joke or not, I still find it offensive. You weren't taking the fun out of silly stereotypes, just spreading them.

I'm sorry. You're right. I'm not Canadian so I would have no idea how stereotypes like that feel. Although I will say it again. I was NOT taking the fun out of Canada but the stereotype itself. I actually like Canada a lot and would like to visit. Although not in winter XD Vancouver maybe, as I've heard their winter's are like England's. Not really a fan of winter though, I'm a summer person. I wouldn't even like to visit Spain in winter. Just doesnt have the atmosphere that summer does.

Hm, funniest weather I've ever seen was probably when I lived in Washington and it snowed midmay. That was odd.

But, since we're here... I used to work on a golf course during the summer (in canada), and some people were in horrible bad moods because they were looking to go skiing, and still had their skiis on their car roof., middle of summer.

Hum, here in Vancouver, it was hailing outside.... hailing... in the middle of April, with the sun out...

I think it stopped now, its really wierd as it stopped as suddenly as it started... The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes?

A few weeks back it was hailing here in Chicago, while the sun was shining. I hate weather like that because it usually means tornado activity--anyone from the midwest knows what I mean. A day that is just too warm and there is a certain weirdness about the light in the sky. And, the day is just too still. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere, it gets cold and windy and rainy. And, sometimes hail.

I am deathly afraid of a tornado. Three hit in one weekend while I was in college in central Illinois. I was directly in the path of two of those. One hit while I was in a car. Not fun to have a tornado go over your head while you are sitting hostage in a car. Lucky it was a little one and, though it did damage (blew barns apart and those big advertising signs apart, our little car was spared. Though it sure did rock the car and made us all inside say a prayer).

The second one severely damaged my house. Though, thankfully, I was not inside at the time. My cats were. But all four of them survived (though some were "shell-shocked" by the ordeal). Note to self: Never live in central Illinois again.

I worked on a lake this summer and we had a hail/thunderstorm combo. The weird thing was, the sun was out the entire time! (at least it wasnt cold... *shivers violently at the memory of swimming during hail and 10km/hr wind, that was a nippy day! I turned purple... matched me swim suit me did!)

Oh! I remembered a time we had weird weather.

This happened... last... Tuesday, I think. We had clear skies all day... up until around five o' clock (PM). Then it started hailing. Violently. And I slipped on it and fell into a puddle... but that really isn't part of the story.
