For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

I knew that a small challenge could easily be overcome and produce some LOVELY sets.

you then said this:

I am sorry that you were disappointed in my 3 sets (the number allowed for entry), that they were lacking in uniqueness. I know I did my best given a very specific theme.

Congratulations to you stampsyne. :)

I hope you do enjoy the set you chose for a long time! :)

First of all a big congrats to stampsyne, you did a good job! (al though it was quite obvious you were going to win, since Cleo_Lo pretty much already said that your entry was her favorite )

Anyway, then to this massive quoting above ^

I had pretty much the same thoughts as everconfused. It did not really feel nice when you stated you were basically disappointed in most entries. There are people who have hardly gotten any entries to their contests and they've still been happy and appreciated the ones they got. It's simply not all about the prize, people enter because they actually like making sets. This time many were probably just busy with other things like school and other work which kept them from entering.

Said shortly: A little more gratitude would not hurt.

Since you were disappointed with the volume (I must admit it was low compared to those who promise a prize for everyone) I refute my prize money. Keep it and create another set contest, if you wish.

I did not mean to offend. I was mostly upset with the volume and the reuse of graphics. The same graphics getting used by different people was inevitable but it still saddened me. There are some lovely lovely sets.

I like Stampsyne's second and third set. The hotspring one was my favorite yet of hers. I actually totally disliked the wild eyed new years greeting one. Sadly, others used that graphic as well.

Then again I find it funny that even though stampsyne's winning entry was really good (I mean it, ok? :P) and the image was supposed to pe the faerie queen it doesn't really look that Neopet-like at all to me, just another anime image.

If there are images which people will possibly use considering the narrow theme and it happens you don't like these images you should have written that in the first post, so that people can use more suitable images.

+ I think you stampsyne should accept the price, after all you did win and it's rightfully yours to claim :) Not forcing you to it though, just my opinion, as usual.

The reason for such a low volume of entries would be because of the fact that there was only really one genre to create for, and at that it was quite a difficult one.

If you cannot find a fitting graphic, make your own :P
