Talim felt it all at once, three presences erupted in a sudden flash of magic. The first one was nearby, it was shrouded and hidden, so Talim had a feeling it was the Geomancer of the Mist. The second was strong and sudden, it was a powerful blast of magic which burst forth uncontrolled. That presence was nearby, it was somewhere in the city at least. The third was far, far away. It was created by a bell and something was crumbling all around it.

Talim gasped and stood up, turning to face the Geomancers in her presence, she shivered slightly feeling the swirl of magic around her too great. "Things are going wrong, some of the powers of the other Geomancers are awakening, but without my guidance none of them know how to control it. We must leave quickly. I feel one really close by, another in the city, and one far, far away."

((Darn, just when we were finally getting on track, I have to go away for a week. Anyone else can take care of Tira and Talim, you all may decide what happens while I go away. And don't forget to incorporate Damien somehow.))

Kalmarris decided just as he was about to ask Talim that he needed the bell for some reason. He dashed back to get it and fortunately, it was still there. When he got back to the store, Talim was gone. It was time to track them again.

"I hope they haven't gone too far."

Ooh. It's pretty. :D See all the pretty presents? They can be yours if you vote for me. Yet, none of you know me. T_T How sad. There's no way to get the pretty presents then. :(

((Well I wouldn't say he was that far away XD And about the characters I already have three so... XD Oh wait @_@ THE POWER! THE POWER! MUHAHAHAHAAAAAAA.... Ok ask somone else...))
Anka and Joy stared at Talim. Anka had no Idea what was going on. He looked at his staff. It seemed blacker in someway.

Beta had fallen asleep after the quick run-in with the girl. As Beta woke up, his stomach reminded him he needed to eat, with a wincing pain. Beta fell to his knees, coughing up blood. Beta somehow regained his strength and crawled out of the back alleyway, towards the sound of high winds. He saw the girl he had talked to earlier, lying on the ground, in front of a severely battered door. Beta tried to get up from his knees, when he felt a sharp burning pain on his wrist. Beta dropped his staff and grabbed his wrist, clutching it and screaming out in pain. After getting back up, Beta screamed out to the girl, hoping she might be on good terms with him. "Eh! Come ere!" Beta yelled.

Jason was afraid for his life. the mountian was breaking up. More cracks were appearing in the mountain.
"HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME! ARGH!" Jason had falen over. The shaking was becoming worse.

Anka felt shaking. the mountain a little in the distance looked differant, like a chunk was missing near the top. The shaking became worse and things started to fall off tables in the cafe they were leaving.
"What's happening?"

Joy was wide eyed.
"I think we're having an earthquake." She said. The fear in her wide eyes was showing.

Talim groaned as the earthquake began, she began to wobble before muttering, "So much.... is going wrong...." she then collapsed. Tira, with her military reflexes, leaned forward and grabbed Talim just in time. Easing her down slowly, she crouched down low, trying to protect herself until the earthquake stopped.

((OMG OMG OMG I can't believe it! I've missed this RP sooooooooooo much!))
Jason was stuck on top of the mountain. The Helicoptor would be back soon but would it be in time?

The cracks had gotten wider and wider. He began to feel Dizzy and colapsed to the floor.

Joy Ran up to Talim.
"Talim!" She shouted. "Talim are you ok? Talim?"

Gender: Female
Name: Davis Dierdre

Age: 15

Geomancy: Sand

Personality: Deathly shy, but can't keep her mouth shut when provoked. Very much outspoken. Blunt, rude, tends to be brutally honest (though she does tell the occasional white lie when it'll get her out of trouble), can't stand liars or stupidity, incredibly sarcastic.

Usually stumbles over her words, as her brain tends to think at a far faster speed than she speaks. Incredibly insecure, though, about anything, really. Which isn't helped by how extraordinarily clumsy she is. Is also quite aloof- prefers animals or books to humans, though she always loves chatting with an intelligent human.

Despises immaturity, or most people younger than her. Questions absolutely everything (is the sky really blue?).

Dierdre's one major flaw (she has many minor flaws, such as her clumsiness, shyness and insecurity, but as a human, she has one obvious flaw) is that she tends to say the wrong thing at the wrong time, or do the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Appearance: Is mildly pretty, but in a way that doesn't really draw attention to her (which is one thing that she'd be grateful for, if her self esteem wasn't so horrible). Thick (more like bushy), long, curly brown hair that is usually kept out of her face by being tied back in a neat braid- or two braided pigtails, if she feels silly, optomistic or exceptionally cheerful. Brown-green eyes. Wears glasses, as she has exceptionally poor eyesight.

She's not a twig, but she's not fat, either. She's healthily thin, though she is a tad bit chubby, due to her love for chocolate. (Amazing! A female character that is neither beautiful nor thin to the point where she looks like a skeleton!)

Her tatoo, or, rather, tatoos, are rather unusual. All over her body, they look like light-brown freckles, aside from one thing- they're square. Diamonds, really.

History: Can't say, shall ruin everything. I'll say a few things, though: her father was (I say 'was' because he was killed in a car accident when Deirdre was eleven.) also a Geomancer and part of the Guild. Deirdre is aware of this. She doesn't know she's one, though, as her Ankh didn't show until, er, like two minutes before the earthquake, I suppose. Or her dad didn't tell her. Something. I haven't figured that out, yet.

Deirdre's mother is alive (and owns a bookstore. If Deirdre mentions 'the store', she's referring to her mother's shop.), and she lives with her.

Her best friend is Andrew, a boy who lives nextdoor to her and her mother. They've been best friends since they were both four- they're the same age, and go to the same school, as well. His personality is mostly the same as Deirdre's, though he's not shy, clumsy or whatever. (I mean, obviously, he has flaws, but she's my main character, and so she's the one that has the gigantic, horrible flaws.)

And no, there's not going to be any romance between the two. They're friends. Harry and Hermione friends (they're like brother and sister), not Ron and Hermione friends (they have a potentially romantic relationship). Eek.

Weapon: A wand. A thin piece of driftwood, actually. Read on.

"And so they lived happily ever after, blah blah blah," Andrew finished, bring his synopsis (of a book he'd finished reading) to an end.

Deirdre snickered as she playfully hit his arm. "Eloquent as always. Now, do tell me how it really ended. If it finished like that, we may have to throw things at Madam Johnson, for assigning us that thing as our 'over-the-summer project'. Honestly, she's not even French, why does she have to teach us? I'd prefer a nice Frenchman, myself."

"That's because you would wow him with your trivia, effectively chaining him to your heart, Deirdre," her companion pointed out.

"True, true. But Johnson's a horrible teacher. I don't think she's even realized how neither of us know a word of French. Ah, well."

"Though I do agree, we must be off to the store, it's five 'til- your mother'll be oh so distressed if she discovers you've been down at the beach again, drawing stuff in the sand," Andrew reminded her, standing up and brushing the sand off his jeans.

"Stuff? You call my artwork, which would rival Da Vinci, stuff? How dare you! I must thwack at you with my wand of sand-scribbling!" Deirdre cried, hitting him with the 'wand'- a piece of driftwood she'd found earlier in the day.

She didn't quite get to hit him with it, though, as no less than five seconds after she grabbed the wand, the ground began to move violently.

Shrieking, she grabbed Andrew's arm, playful banter forgotten.

"Earthquake! It's a bleeding earthquake!" a nearby tourist screamed.

Next to her, Andrew was staring at her left wrist intently, wide-eyed in shock, ignoring the buckling earth beneath them.

"Oh mother of magic," he breathed, voice

Deirdre looked at him oddly, as if he'd just announced that he liked to dance with blue cats wearing tutus, and replied, saying, "If you haven't noticed, there's an earthquake going on, Andrew, and we should probably find some place to sit it out, so we don't DIE by being crushed by a FALLING BUILDING.'

"And honestly, Geomancer? That's not funny, you know about my fa-" she stopped short in her reprimand, as she'd followed his gaze down to her wrist, and now saw what he was talking about.

An Ankh had appeared on her left wrist, and the second after she'd looked at it, promptly turned pitch-black.

((No, Andrew isn't a Geomancer, if that's what you're thinking. He absolutely and completely non-magical.))

((Welcome Alex, nice intro...))

Talim groaned softly, her eyes blinked open and she looked up at Joy, who was hovering nervously over her. She sighed lightly and closed her eyes again, however when she opened them again, they shone with a bright silver. Hovering up from the ground, toes lightly brushing against the concrete, Talim flicked her hands out and the rumbling earthquake ceased.

The boulders, which were chunks of the mountain, froze in mid air, a glowing silver light surrounded them. They then proceeded to explode into tiny fragments of dust.

Talim closed her eyes slowly, the mystical silver aura which had shone around her dissapating. Her feet touched the ground, and when she opened her eyes again, they were her usual deep shade of blue.

((Had to stop the blasted earthquake somehow! Now... on with finding all the Geomancers...))

((Thanks!))

Dierdre's attention was suddenly drawn away from her wrist, and for good reason: the earthquake had suddenly stopped, and she was now standing- sitting, actually, as she'd just fallen down rather ungracefully- on a rather large sand dune, which she assumed had been created by the buckling earth driving up the sand with every shake.

And, of course, the best reason for her distraction was that Andrew had disappeared, no longer gripping her wrist.

Ankh forgotten, she yelled, "Andrew? Andrew! You absolute idiot, where in all worlds are you?" as she walked down the dune. Then, displaying her usual act of utter clumsiness, she tripped over a stray arm in the sand and tumbled down the rest of the hill of sand, stopping only when she'd gotten a mouthfull of damp sand and dirt.

Spitting (and cursing loudly), she stood up quickly, intent on finding Andrew.

'Why do I always have to trip over things at horrible times? Stupid arm in the sand. Why did it have to be in my wa- ARM. IN THE SAND,' Dierdre thought, finishing said thought with a small shriek as she ran back up the dune, on her feet as soon as she'd realized what had happened.

Reaching the arm, she flipped it over, ignoring how stupid she probably looked. There, on the inner forearm, near the elbow, was a tatoo that looked rather like an ink blot. This wasn't really very good to find, as that meant it was Andrew, as he happened to have a tatoo exactly like that in that exact spot.

As a result, Dierdre gasped in horror at the sight of the tatoo and started shoveling sand off of Andrew with the 'wand' she'd found earlier. Quickly realizing that the thin piece of wood wouldn't work, she lifted it out of the sand to throw it to the side, intending to start shoveling with her hands, but found, to her disbelief (Why does every horrible thing happen to me?!), that it was stuck firmly to her hand. Attempting to shake it off, she found that that only made her predicament worse, as it caused her finger to, on their own accord, close firmly around the wood. Giving in to whatever power was forcing her hand to hold the damned stick, she turned back to Andrew, intent on saving him- if he was still alive, but she didn't want to think otherwise- and stifled a scream as she found that he was completely unburied, and sitting up, grimacing as he brushed sand off of himself.

"Andrew? H-how did you, um, get out of there?" she whispered, not sure whether to be fearful and mystified or ecstatic and ignorant of the miracle (for that was what it must be) that had just occured.

"Dierdre! Er, I dunno. I just did, I suppose. One second I was buried under what felt like five millions pounds of sand, and the next, I can see the sky, and you're sitting next to me, glaring at your hand. Why are you glaring at your hand?"

Dierdre ignored him, choosing to instead drop her hand into her lap, wand pointed down. This was a mistake, as the point (she briefly wondered if it had had a point before, but quickly shunned the thought from her mind. She was not a Geomancer. Couldn't be.) of the wand hit the sand beneath her, and she had no time to scream as the dune seemed to slowly desolve, leaving the two friends sitting on the beach, sand dune gone.

Andrew looked mildly stunned for a few seconds, but quickly recovered to smugly say, "Ha! I knew it, you're a Geomancer. Dirt, I suppo-"

"It's sand, Andrew. And I am no-"

"Sand, dirt, same thing. I suppose you a Geomancer of earthy materials or whatever, I suppose, but if you say so, then it's sand."

"It's sand," Dierdre replied, pointing the wand (so it was a wand. Interesting.) at the now-ruined (a car had driven through them, so yes, ruined) flowerbeds lining the beachhouse nearest them. Nothing happened, aside from some pigeons landing on them, so she continued with, "Yes, sand. Nothing from the dirt, but the sand, however..."

She turned her hand towards a dune near them (this one, though, had been there before the earthquake), and it quickly fell in on itself. The newly-found Sand Geomancer grinned.

"So you admit it, then? You are a Geomancer?"

Dierdre found herself nodding slowly. "I don't know, but it looks like it. This is really weird. I wonder if dad knew. Why didn't he tell me?"

"Dierdre, I've never seen that ankh on your wrist before. Ever. It just showed up. Must've been like a timebomb, I suppose, and the earthquake set it off, somehow. Or something. I don't know, I'm just theorizing."

"Well, whatever it is... This-" she gestured towards the ankh, no longer pitch-black, now simply a few shades darker than her own skin color, "is still here. Right now, I think we should worry more about finding out why it just appeared, rather than how."

((Well, I had to have Dierdre's powers show somehow. By an absolute accident (the wand touching the sand as she put it down) seemed like the best thing for her character.

And wheee. It's fun to write Andrew and Dierdre talking together. They're kind of like twins, except they look completely different (you know what Dierdre looks like- Andrew, however, is black, and dyed his hair green the month before. He's also rather short, while she's of average height (she's 5'7", at the moment) and aren't related at all.))

Jason felt the earthquake stop suddenly then all of a sudden the realization happened. The cracks had grown in a circle around him the cracks were 1 meter thick cutting him off from the Rock around. He was stuck he tried to get up but as he was moving the circle of rock he was sat on moved with him he quickly sat back down and the rock moved back into the middle.

Meanwhile Joy was wide eyed. She had screamed and jumped when Talim's eyes had glowed silver.

Anka was standing watching them his eye was still hurting him. It was a throbbing pain. He couldn't open his eye because of it. He placed his hand over it trying to mask himself, but because of this he had missid Talim's light show.

With terrified eyes, Renetta openly stared at the spectacle forming around her. With the sudden outbusrt of energy, everything that wasn't heavy or bolted down began to spin around, in a cyclone like fashion, with Renetta enclosed at the center. Clutching Mint, she sat in the fetal position, knowing that the cyclone of wood, dirt, and all other sorts of objects could break her body if she tried to exit. Hair whipping around her, she forgot all about Asha and now worried about what would happen next. Even IF she could quell this cyclonic current of air, how would she go about explaining the circular debris around her form?

"Please stop," she whispered, though the sound was lost in the beating of material to windows, and many other crashing sounds to follow. Her words were useless anyway, the wind just kept spinning, round and round, her bell now ringing in a discorded tone. With her free hand, the other still keeping the sleeping Mint from danger, she tried to quell the bell, but even the physical clench of hand on bell produced no effect. It continued to ring out with a shrieking, yet constant ring, audible about the rush of the wind.

"Someone help!"

((Sorry CD, I'm a very impatient person XD))

Talim immediately began running, she could sense power nearby and it was going to hurt someone if she couldn't get it under control. Turning back to Tira as she ran, Talim motioned for her to come with her. Tira sprinted towards her before falling into line next to her.

Talim frowned, "I can sense more power, coming from the beach, head over there please, and bring whoever the Geomancer is over here. Tell everyone to stay put while I'm gone, I have a... problem to sort out."

Tira nodded and jogged back over towards the group, "Talim has to sort out something, but she wants me to go to the beach to try to find another Geomancer she's sensed. You should all stay put, and keep any eye out for any other Geomancers okay?"

---

Talim made her way to where Renetta was creating her cyclone, it was within a hotel and many people were very confused, both by the cyclone and the earthquake which had just occured. Sidestepping the frantic people, Talim made her way towards the cyclone she could see through the open doorways. She noticed Asha's unconscious body, and saw a figure curled within the centre of the cyclone. Using a small amount of her powers, Talim delved ever so slightly into Renetta's mind. Only far enough to learn her name.

"Renetta, please listen to me. I'm here to help you." Talim yelled, trying to project her voice through the whirlwind of air. "My name is Lunetta Talim, I'm the High Geomancer of the Moon, and it seems that you are the High Geomancer of Wind. I know that it may be hard to believe, but the cyclone which surrounds you was created using your own powers."

Talim smiled gently, hoping to calm the poor girl down, "You must control the cyclone which surrounds you. I know it has gotten out of hand, but it is your creation, and only you can stop it. You must force it to listen and obey you. Use your mind and your bell, tell it that it must stop and must go away. I know that you can do it."

((Yay! Long post!))

((EDIT: I just realised that you never said that Asha was unconscious Shadowfare, please tell me if you want me to change my post!))

Joy frowned. She had to stay put in the middle of the street where it was getting cold. she hated the cold. Her wand glowed and the sun started to come out from behing the clouds. Thankfully this went unnoticed. Then a voice came.

"No. I'm not going to sit around and do nothing while you're both off looking for new Geomancers!" It was Anka's voice. He was talking To Tira.
"I will not sit around clueless to everything that's happening." He stared coldly at her. "I'm coming with you, whether you agree or disagree."

Jason sat on the mountian. Cold and afraid. He had no Idea what was happening. His head was spinning. Had that stupid bell did all this? The bell was still in his hand. He couldn't bring himself to let go of it. 12:30 half an hour untill his helicoptor is schedualed back.

Tira frowned, crossing her arms, "Fine! Come if you must, just don't go wandering off." She then turned around and began briskly walking towards the beach.

She soon arrived and noticed two people standing on the sand. One of them, the girl, was carrying a wand which appeared to be a piece of driftwood. "Excuse me, I'm Major.... I mean, the High Geomancer of Ivy, Ilani Tira. You wouldn't happen to have just had an Ankh appear on your wrist would you? And perhaps an unexpected ability to control one of the forces of nature?"
