Post images that you drew a long time ago!

Here's some of mine:

Image
This is like, my first picture ever! Whoa, my lineart was choppy.

Image
So long ago! *dies at choppy lineart and cliche anime style*

Image
Even though the shading is abominable, I will always love this pic because I miss Teerutwitch so bad. :'( RIP, Twitchy.

Image
*weeps again over lost Fiddelysquat account on neo* I loved those pets. ;_;

Image
*shoots terrible facial anatomy*

Image
I think it's cute, but the neck and the wings... *shiver*

Image
Aww! My old chibis! I remember doing those on Gaia!

Image
Nice face and hair, but JEEBUS that body anatomy is awful!

Image
WOW, this one is embarassing. The oldest of the bunch. What is up with this chick's face?!

Image
This looks like a deranged balloon.

Image
Back in the day of Mina's Monthly Art Contest, this was my first entry. ;_;

Image
That is one funky neck. O_o

Post yours! It's so fun to look back and it's nice to see in what ways you've improved. :D

I don't improve. I am bad at art. :)

But here is my old stuff. I like to do funny comics surrounding my character, "George"

Warning: Rated PG-Pretty Good

http://www.drunkduck.com/.../1107262819 ... pikmin.PNG

Poor George, he always dies in some horrible way.

Ah, good ole' paint.

Edit: Darn, now you know my full name. Oh well.

Edit 2:

More!!!!!

The Ice Titan comic is 1 out of 6 or something. Unfourtantely, My computed got wiped and I lost everything. :(

Edit 3: Changed to link to prevent stretching. :)

Edit 4: Kitty! That is done in paint...

*gasps* Fidds, I remember Terrutwitch! I always thought that drawing was awesome.
Beware of my old art...all of done when I was 12. That's about three/four years ago. Oh boy, I have improved soooo much.

Image
*DIES* I did this in MSPaint with nothing but a mouse, and I thought it was really cool. Her thumb is on the wrong side.

Image
This was some weird angel/bat thing named Amethyst. (Heh, no, not the PPT'er. :P) I remember this is just when I got Adobe PhotoDeluxe and I added the cloud background and thought it looked really spiffeh. But my gosh! I know I did this on paint and all with a mouse, but it's awful!

Image
More of my MSPaint mouse crud. The face is sort of cute, but everything about it is way off. *wipes sweat of forehead* Ashamed...I am ashamed!

Image
Ugh. I did this with a mouse on some oekaki board. This one is newer than the others, but still old. Bleh. What is up with the neck!? And the eye(s)...they're just...odd.
This was a great idea Fidds! I haven't looked at these pictures in YEARS! Hehe, pretty funny to see what I used to draw like.

Whoo! Let's all look at some of my super craptacular art from God knows how long ago! ^__^

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/M ... ndKiko.gif
Okay, this one isn't so bad... But the shading! The shading is terrible! In fact, the whole image quality is terrible! Oh why was I a dumb eleven year old who saved it as a GIF?!

Image
This one is terrible. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The shading makes me vomit, and it was done in FLASH. It looks like it was done in Paint. Blarg.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/M ... _Julie.gif
For Paint, it's decent... But he's FLOATING OUT IN SPACE. And his eye just wraps around his face. And his eyebrows are TOO THICK. And why do the shines of his eyes have green lines?! *punches it*

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/M ... aellie.gif
The anatomy of the faellie, the bright bright colors, they all burn. BURN. And it appears to be on crack. O_O

Image
This just sucks. This is why I don't use Paint Shop Pro anymore! D:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/M ... taZero.gif
This makes me cry. He has no forehead. He has GIANT YU-GI-OH EYES. The lineart is so very very shaky. The anatomy is all off. And to think I once considered this my best work. T_T

Image
HIS SHOULDERS! THEY'RE SO DARN TINY!!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/Megadork/Axl.png
Whatever I was trying to achieve with this drawing, it didn't happen. Why didn't I realize I wasn't giving them foreheads?!

Image
His hair is flat. So very flat. And the nose is off. But at least he has a forehead! ._.

Image
I drew this just to post it on PPT. It got one comment.

Well I think I've embarrassed myself enough, so here's the grand finale of crap...
Image
This. This sad piece of garbage. I drew this when I first aquired Photoshop on this computer. It's a piccy of my old Aisha. She has humps on her back. The anatomy is all off. NO FOREHEAD. NO SHADING! NO TALENT! GAAAHIE{YWH{ISEGNJ!!!

I think I may have to cry now. Wait... *looks at current art* Ahhh... that's mildly better. o_o

OMG! Fiddely found THE FIRST ANIME PICTURES SHE EVER DREW!

Seriously, this picture is the first anime I've ever done. LOL, it's so horrible! I was about 9 or 10 when I drew this. *dies of shame* Man, I feel a lot better about my art, now! She's orange because I only used to color with markers, and I figured that orange was as close to skin color as I was gonna get. Lol, look at her chest!!!
Image

My two best friends and I were obsessed with the Powerpuff Girls and Sailor Moon. I was Usagi and Bubbles, Alyssa was Rei and Buttercup, and Natalie was Ami and Blossom. We drew them all the time and used to pretend we were them during recess. We even kept little marble notebooks that we'd draw cartoons in!

Here's a Powerpuff Girls cartoon I drew in 6th grade about them being followed by the press. I replaced the words I wrote with a font so you can read it:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v348/ ... ldart2.gif

I'm actually kinda proud of this one. I improved a whole lot over one year. I did this picture in 6th grade. Not the difference between this one and the first one. My anatomy definetly improved. They were drawn 5 months apart. This is the first anime picture of a non-existing character that I'd ever drawn:

I managed to find some of my old artwork laying around. These go back to the days of microsoft paint and a shaky mouse. It pains me to look at them. Those who are weak of stomach I advise you to shield your eyes.

Image
This is a picture of an old faerie kougra of mine, CrewWolf (yeah, yeah, I know). I like to think of this as my first and last attempt at serious anime. And when I say serious anime I mean I was trying to draw it not as a joke (nothing against anime, I'm just saying that there's some styles a person ((i.e. me)) shouldn't attempt for the sake of those who do take it seriously). Wow. You can practically see the perspiration dripping off my forehead as I drew this. And an attempt at shading! I'm so proud of myself.

Image
All I can say is, thank goodness I eventually discovered what layers were for. I called this a "Sun Dog". The antithesis of a "Wolf Wraith". For a story I never wrote through I remember entertaining the thought. Gosh, those feet are aweful. And the smudge tool! It BURNS!!!

Image
I shall reiterate the statement that I made about discovering what layers were for.

Image
This one is actually pretty good compared to my other older stuff. I'm getting the hang of drawing with a mouse in paint and I'm experimenting with the concept of shading a bit more.

An anthro fox: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v317/CrewWolf/fox.jpg
I'm quite pleased to say is that my coloring skills have greatly improved since this time.

What I'm incredibly sad to say is that my understanding of basic anatomy hasn't. Much.

Now I just need a sample of an old attempt at drawing wrinkles in clothing. The results were quite humorous.

Wow fidds, great idea for a topic! I espcially love your art! Even you old art is fantastic! I really love your strawberry tuskaninny picture... im not sure why, but something really attracts me to it... it feels good on the eyes... like, i think its the marvalous coloring. I just like looking at that picture!

I also love your old work sunnie.... if you could do that well in your OLD pictures, id love to see more of what you can do now with those anime guys! *im in love with that one with the red hair!!*

Heh, i can tell exactly where all my old pictures are.... they are were sad attempts at using TNT's style of art *with 3 basic colors instead of the airbrush technique i use now* heres some of my old junkity junk junk:

wow.... these are really old o.O im surprised they are still on my comp

You're not crazy, I've seen them too. O____O

Anyway, Crewwolf, you have come a long way! I like that griffen at the end though, it's quite adorable.

Okay, embarassment time of doom fer the Ledi. nearly all of these pictures come from 2000, the rest of them come from '98 or maybe even earlier...

Image
...Dragon. I believe this was my first attempt at both layers and transparencies, so... Moving on.

Image
Ah, my first picture coloured when I got Photoshop 6. ...The anatomy...it burns.

Image
Gakked from a M:TG card, the colours are pretty, but the rest...meh.

Image
Fennec fox! Probably the least embarassing of the entire lot here. I still like that character, even now. The hands are terrible, but I got the whole 'lanky' thing going, which was what I was aiming for that character at the time.

Image
Bilby. Crappy cel shading. Need I say more?

Image
Oh dear lord...Zandral. I nearly forgot about him. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the oldest picture here. Note the lack of...well, pretty much everything, in this picture. Now let's never speak of it again.

Image
Image
These two were drawn in music, and although the art now sucks, I am still pleased with the concept. Darren is just so darned cute!

Image
First piece of CGd fan art ever. First fan art would have been Julayla from the Sonic comics, first anime fan art would have been Sailor Moon at someone's request. ^^;

So...yeah. I believe my colouring has improved, as has my technical grasp of photoshop. Thanks in large to a life drawing course I took last year, my anatomy has made a huge jump since then, and I can now ignore these horrible, horrible pieces of art that were drawn at school.

Image Yeah, Ledi needs a new sig...

Wow. I envy you all. If I posted my old stuff, you'd all DIE!

Not that my current stuff is great either.

Doesn't matter much; I draw way too light to scan with any effectiveness.

Many thanks to .:Requiem:. for the set!
