Douglas Adams.

Is this book good? I saw the preview for the movie.

On a sidenote, is seeing the movie worth it?

I've got some doubts about the movie . . . but the book is fantastic.

"Are you dead yet?"
"Not yet..."
*Keeps firing lazer guns*

I love the books.

READ IT!!!

Marvin is my hero.....

I'm going to see the movie this weekend.... It better be worth it!

Most of the books gave me a headache. But that's what I get for reading too fast. I'll slow down next time... They're so full of interesting philosophies and general madness.

I read the first one and I loved it. I'm halfway through the second one.

Marvin is <3333.

Rickman does Marvin's voice, doesn't he?

Can't go wrong there.

I cannot wait to see this film.

The film just didn't live up to the book.

I'm reading the radio scripts at the moment and I adore the directions.

Favourite bits include when the dolphins swim off "So long and thanks for all the fish", Deep Thought "Forty-two" and Marvin the Paranoid Android "Life, don't talk to me about life". I was in stitches throughout the entire thrilogy in four parts as I am yet to read the third.

I'm a bit surprised that no one has made a topic about it sooner actually...

It's actually 5 books, and the storyline goes in this order:

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Life, the Universe, and Everything
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
Mostly Harmless

I heard the movie is really good. I'm thinking of going to check it out.

Isn't the bit of the sixth book that Adams finished before he died in some of the sets as well?

Personally, I thought the movie was a disappointment. I also went in with very high expectations, and spent the whole time comparing it to the book. I have a lot of things I didn't like about it......

And all the friends I dragged to it didn't like it either. The first half is good and then it gets different. Ah well.

But the books are still some of the best ones ever!
