Well.. over at Everquest 2 (it's a mmorpg)... they're running a little over a month long fanart contest called Springtime in Norrath (norrath is the name of the land).
I really couldn't think of anything to draw for it.. knew I didn't want to do something generic. Like an elf with flowers or something like that.
Also didn't want to do the semi-generic pic of evil char doing something gentle.. like a dark elf with butterflies or something like that.

So.. after brainstorming and failing at the first idea I had... I just went with the second idea I had and did it.

The background is SO horrible though... those mountains.. ugh.. it pains me to look at them rofl But I sent the pic in anyways (well a slightly larger version).
Highly doubt I'll win.. not that I was expecting to anyway heh.. but it got me to draw something after a month of nothing.

Also.. the pic kinda blinds me. When I shrank it down so it wouldn't be such a large file I had to sharpen it b/c as other artists would know a pic gets blurry when you shrink it... and it just kinda gave it a glaring effect.. *shrugs*
And uhm.. yeah... you peeps that are animal anatomy experts..
I'm still learning so be gentle! rofl

Uhm.. yeah.. I think I'll just stop talking now................ ok.... now......

I love it! Mind adding an Iksar or Froglok in it? You'll definitely win. I couldn't draw an Iksar for my life.

Maybe a Good Character like High Elf doing something bad?

I might draw some more EQ fanart in the future. Depends on my mood.. might try drawing some more to maybe help get out of the rut I'm in.

How dare you criticise yourself! This is wonderful, you've done well, you should pat yourself on the back and have a cookie.

I love the foreground, but please tell me you saved it in layers because those mountains are quite distractingly giant pebble like. Try for distant mountains in faded purple/brown.

I should've spent more time on the background but usual thing happened.
I just start getting sick of working on the pic so I rush through the rest of it to get it done.
Heh oh well though! Give me 10 more years and I'll be decent.. just decent with backgrounds
