Wayhey, English Language.

I hate writing letters. I hate Walt Disney.

I also nearly had a laughing fit in the middle of it after making up a theme park in my head- World of Pork!

Please, I think I win for suckiest English questions ever.

Question One: "Discuss the conflict and complexities of Buffy's role as a young adult and as the Chosen One."

Question Two: "How does Buffy subvert the idea of a traditional superhero and challenge tradtional power structures in society?"

No, I still haven't worked out why we're studying Buffy.

Gone, forever.

Wheeee! Whilst you're all doing exams, I'm relaxing here doing assignment after assignment. I'm doing one now, actually. Exams were finished 3 weeks ago :D

Anyway, I just got my results back. Sort of.

I know that
Science I got 160/200
Maths I got 48/60(PART C) + 18/18 (PART B) and ???/???(PART A)
Computers I got 93/100
Commerce I got 91/100
Religion I got 82/95

And so far that's it. Of course it's all meaningless statistics that you probably won't read anyway ;)

I remember in our English Language exam we had to write a visitor's guide...based on an extract from... Hounds of Baskerville from Sherlock Holmes  My friend nearly laughed in the exam going, "HAHAHA VISITOR'S GUIDE! HAHAH" -_- And this is probably due to the panicking.

LOL my IT MC exam was kinda funny. One of the questions was (don't remember all the choices or the exact wording of the question):
"How can we relieve eye strain when using a computer?
a) a virus checker
b) take regular breaks
c) firewall (not sure about this one)
d) *forgot*"

I wonder which one we should choose...I think I'll pick the virus checker :D

Your teacher should be boiled in oil, bludgeoned with rusty pipes, and then flung out of a 10th story window for making you watch that ridiculously horrible show.

Whatever you think of the show, Fidds, those questions are gifts.

Yeah, but an hour of Buffy is enough to send me into convulsions. My sister watches it every day, and watches the episodes she's recorded when the actual show isn't on. :x

Oh bless you :P

My questions today were (to paraphrase)

'Read the first extract and concisely summarise the points the author makes about the planning and financing of disneyland and the problems it encountered when it opened'

Which is fair enough if you can stay awake long enough.

'Read the second extract. Explore the ways in which the author...something about how he conveys to the audience his feelings about the rollercoaster ride, commenting on his use of language blah blah blah'

Yawn.

And then I had to write a letter from my school to parents about a school trip to a theme park/attraction, real or imagined.

Considering my exams have kinda started, I thought might as well post here. I have a four day accounting exam and I have done two of the four exams already. They weren't really hard. The first part I got 72% and I'm sure I got close to perfect on the second one.

As for Math, I need a 48% on the exam to pass the course, I hope I get higher than that.

I'm glad to say my exams finished last week, although I did have some rather nasty questions, we studied a period of 1929-45 in German history, and we we're asked a question on 1933-34, it made me sick.
I would have to say the questions in English we're probably worse, we had a question on Lear, something in regards to if the statement more "Sinned against than sinning" was a valid opinion, in Tess of the d'Urbervilles we had to talk about how Hardy used nature images to increase the role of Tess, something we didn't cover in the lessons, oppps. And in the play, Death of a Salesman we had a pretty rubbish question about a minor character. Politics how ever was much worse, question A was worth 8 marks and something like "Describe the term Minister" I thought we had a sitter, Until I read the rest of the question which asked me to describe some utter rubbish like who holds the most power Civil servents or Ministers, or even Quasi-agencies and Quango's, very nice questions huh.
