229 years ago today, America's founding fathers wrote a declaration of independence from Britian. We celebrate that today with BBQs and fireworks.

Oh, and I made this animation like 4 years ago, its really cruddy, but I only dig it out on the 4th. Enjoy.

Happy 'a bunch of old guys in powdery wigs went to war over tea against a bunch of other old guys in powdery wigs and won, declaring they were an independant country, that then went on and decided to corrupt other countries with their madness and to flaunt their wealth and privledges all over the third world countries and their lesser beings whilst pretending to be 'helpful', whilst being prejediced against two different groups of people along the way, making a certain Illinois child somewhat confused at what the big celebration is and why the heck fireworks are supposed to symbolize this whole we-want-tea thing but she totally realizes that this is a good country for the most part and that independance is great and grand but really why did they do this all over tea?' day.

...I think 'don't ask' is somewhat of an understatement.
