Yes, yes it should :P I was googling it and they had both spellings, so I went to their official site, and it was Pisa. So I changed my entry :) Thanks.

For once I think everyone finally got the hang of this and I have nothing to point out here, in the beginning of my post, that would go for more than one person :P

Scholastic - Your entry had quite a messy feeling to it. Whereas the colors are well combined I just think you've gone too far when it comes to the brushes/self-made images. Also, the sunflowers are too weak in the avatar, personally I think it would have been better if they would have been whole and more visible, that would have also taken some attention from the text.

mazil - Very nice, I like this avatar very much. The placement of the elements is particularly good. Umm... yeah, that's it.

Jasujo - The image itself is ok, I think. However, I don't like the borders at all, particularly the fact that the corners look chopped off (seems like you have cropped the image from a size 102x102 to 100x100). Even though the image is good, maybe you should have had something more strong in the background behind that figure, for example having just a couple of hearts there with a stronger violet color. In a way this would also have given more dimension to the picture.

Koku - You always have a lot contrast and strong colors in your work, but I feel that this has gone a bit too far. The placement and visibility of the text is very weak, i think you could have come up with something better for it, even though this might have done that you would have needed to move the image itself a bit more to the left or right etc.

Apricus - Looks like tango to me, but that’s not really what I should judge really, hehe. Whereas Koku had too much of it I think you need more contrast in this avatar, not much, but a bit. Other than that I think you’ve done a good job this round.

InsanePlushie - Mainly I just think you've really crammed too much into one icon. The individual parts just as they are seem to be fine, such as the image, the border etc., but when put together you've got too much in there and literally no real "breathing space for the eyes" anywhere.

Laq - When talking about the image I'm pretty okay with it and you've done a good job. The two things I do want to point out, however, are first of all the main text and then the small text you put in the background as an effect. The main text is a bit too blurry in my opinion, and comes too close to the man's head. And as for the decorative text-effect on the background, at least I feel like you could have left it out completely.

NeopetsAddict - This icon is far too plain, let alone the very plain text. Although the idea of the having the text lean against the tower is very good, and I like the placement of the text and image too, I still don't like it as a whole. The colors are dull and lifeless; for example keeping the green trees there and making them more vivid would already been a very good addition. A different and more special font would have made it even better as well as actually making the text and image stand out of the background.

watericesage - I'm not so sure you did that much with this icon. I like the colors and image effect in any case, but the writings on there are a bit lacking of strength and visibility.

_jaye_ - Pretty good, but I feel like there's still something missing. Maybe you could have made the red colors more vivid just to have some really eye-catching element in there. Also, I would have like to seen a bit more visibility of the text.

rachel - This was certainly out of the ordinary, I'm not sure I like it though. In some aspects I could agre with you on the style you have chosen for the image, but I don't really understand how you have gotten the original image into something like that (probably possible, but I'm just not seeing it). The font is not that good in any case, I don't like how some of the letter go into each other and how vertically stretched they look.

Neko - Well, first of all the colors of the girl are a bit dull in the sense that maybe a bit more contrast would have been good. The text does not fit in at all in my eyes, I think you should have gone for something totally different regarding that.

timkhj - Really I just don't think that the different parts match each other at all in this image. This meaning that the background would have been good in some other combination, but not with the border, text and photo you used with it, the border would have been good in some other combination but not with the... etc.

My votes go to NeopetsAddict, rachel and timkhj.

This round is on icons...I think that's familiar territory for most of you, and it shows. :)

Scholastic: I had no idea there was a sunflower in there until I saw your photo. And I still can barely see the sunflower, just that it's in the upper corners. Anyway, your incorporation of pink is pretty neat, and the text is cool, but what's really bugging me is how overpowering all this is over your sunflowers. The icon kinda looks like a "garden" and I see the flower theme...just a messy one is all.

mazil: Oh wow, very awesome. The green makes it stand out so much, and the white border is a good choice. I really like how the hand is sticking out of the green and into the white. I'd move the entire green section over to the left by one pixel, but I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. I'm not sure how you used your second picture though...as those weird reflections in the background?

Jasujo: It's really bold, which is great, but kinda plain. I think you could've added something to the background to make it pop a little- maybe a lighter, larger heart, or some kinda flower to reflect the ones on the character? The border's also a tad iffy- I could only tell they were hearts when I leaned in waaay up close to my screen. The hearts on the bottom of the border are cut off, while all of them are pixelly too. Perhaps stick to something straight next time.

Koku: I think you went too yellow here. Your colour adjustments (perhaps the resizing too) have caused those raindrops to turn into small white splotches which makes the image look as though it was poor quality and unclean. The text is really hmm...plain and too minimal. I seem to see bits of a border, but it appears non-existant, which also affects the overall look.

Apricus: Looks pretty neat, but some things seem to be sticking out too much. For example, the waltzing people look really modern as compared to your rustic background. Raising the contrast of the background to something brighter could keep the theme but also complement the photo. You've done an excellent job of using the original photo's background and merging it with your own.

InsanePlushie: Hmm...some elements are too strong here. Especially the scanlines. The border also seems a tad constraining/restrictive, and the text choice is too plain. The colour adjustments on the picture do fit the icon, and the change also sets a good mood.

LAQ: Pretty neat background, the green works pretty well with the black- looks kinda chalkboard like. I think you darkened him a bit too much- it seems to be compromising image quality and contrast. The text is also somewhat unclear, although I understand the placement choice and all.

Neopets Addict: Hmm...this one comes off kinda messy, the way you used the image twice. Although it gives it an old feel, it makes it kinda bland too. Your text angles and placements have some creativity, but they're far too plain.

watericesage: There doesn't seem to be much done here, other than some brightness/contrast adjustments. The "with me" is barely visible too. Overall, I think you could have done far more with this.

_jaye_: Considering the terrible quality of the original image, you've done a pretty decent job with this. Augmenting each colour looks really nice there. The sparkles are a bit too strong at points though, and the text placement is kinda weird. The text doesn't really stand out, either.

rachel: Interesting stuff. However, I can barely tell how you used the original image. I also can't really tell what the image is- it seems like a bunch of Clouds and Difference Clouds filters, with colour added in. The effect is pretty bizarre though, and although I don't really like this icon as a matter of personal preference, I can see how things are working.

Neko: Pretty decent. Just a few things...to follow up on your "fade away" text, you should incorporate some fading in there. Layer masks to soften those lines on the right and the scanlines would have been nice. A darker border, too. The pixel squares and dots could be more brown than black, and less visible. Everything's there, I guess it just needs a little tweaking.

timkhj: Hehe, the idea's pretty cute. You didn't include a link or anything to the fruits background- was that a brush or an image? Anyway, as much as I don't like to mess around with photos, perhaps brightening things up and adding a slight green hue would've helped made things match.

Hmm, tough decision again! I guess this round I'll go for Koku, watericesage, and Neopets Addict.

Hehe, I've been looking at it and thinking that, actually! Funny how 1 pixel can make a difference to these things ;)

And yeah, I didn't use the second picture very much, except to add a bit more texture to the background (those lighter diagonal streaks near the lizard's head and torso area).
