Random Contest: Neopian Anthems

This week, your job is to write the lyrics for your world's anthem. Do you live in Tyrannia? Write the best Tyrannian anthem ever heard by the Town Hall elders. If you live in Faerieland, you must completely knock the socks off Fyora with the best anthem known to the Faeries. (Etc, etc, blah blah blah. You get the point again.)

Rules... (read this or your entry might be doomed before you even submit it)

- Please include AT LEAST 3 verses and 1 chorus (which can be repeated, of course). You can do more than that, but anything shorter will be deleted.
- Your anthems can be silly, triumphant, or whatever you wish, but anthems always proclaim the greatness of the worlds they represent so make sure let us know what's so special about your world.
- Our form only takes about 1,000 words so stay under that and you're peachy. It's not a novel... it's an anthem. Sheesh.

Lawyerbot returns from scheduled maintenance and says:
- No copyrighted material! This means no "sung to the tune of [insert copyrighted song here]" because then we'll have to delete your submission and no one wants that.

I'm not sure if I want to do this one yet. I love to write, but I've never tried writing a song before.

I wish I would of entered the short story contest they had, the one where you wrote a passage from an already-existing Neopia book.

Oh well, it's too late now.

Didn't someone write a song "we will freeze you" for the day of action. that was hilarious! if it was user voted, they'd easily win. but since it's not, i wouldn't recommend it

umm... they said in the rules very specifically... it has to be original... it cant "go along" with anything...

Dragon, alot of us are getting that error. Either that or some really weird image type error (since there's no image I think it's really weird).

I hope they fix it soon. I actually, while fixing dinner last night, got an idea, ran and started writing. Got a 5 verse with chorus "anthem" done. Not that it's very good, but at least I did one! Now to get it submitted before I lose my nerve.

I solved the error by putting a space after every paragraph marker.

I try to enter EVERY Random Contest.

Okay, it's got a subtle sloth nazi-esque reference (Deutchland Uber Alles - Virtupets Above All), a star wars in-joke and a veiled MST3K reference...

I put spaces after paragraphs. Before I did that I got the message

I also put extra spaces inbetween paragraphs.
