o-O Um, No, I do NOT want to be a movie star. I know already how child movie stars' lives get majorly messed. Besides, Michael Jackson and especially the Olson twins had really pushy parents who half-forced em into this.

Nonono, I want to be a stage actress. Hopefully in musicals, because A. musicals rock so very, very much and B. I'd be a better Christine than Sandra Joseph if I could project as much as she does. She just doesn't sound Christine... not innocent, flaunts the operatic stuff all the time, wavers a lot. D:

Thankfully, taking choir this year in my school. Will learn to project singing properly, with any luck. :D

My friend from Furcadia, from a Phantom RP who is nineteen and also wants to be an actress, gave me a list of casting calls all over the country. I think I see what you mean, moving to NY... O-o;; Colorado had... three, and two were already over. Needless to say, every one was looking for people older than me, but hey, thinking about the future here. :P California had a lot too, but I STILL don't want to be a movie star!

Oh, I've noticed though, almost all of the things that weren't just asking for extras asked for people with experience... I doubt they'd count a fourth-grade production of Lewis And Clark: The musical, nor a role as one's own character going up against their (invisible) mortal enemy in seventh grade. What I'm wondering is, do they count being an extra in something like, I dunno, Music Man as experience? It'd be sadistic to ask for more, considering that everything larger needs experience.

What I find odd is, the Buell Theatre in Denver was designed specifically for "the worst of all possible worlds" as far as demand for special effects and settings go: That is, Phantom. And yet it's never preformed there (though it will be by the tour troupe in November). Gaaargh.

I have been planning to get an agent to start doing some modeling, but have decided that Im not actually confident enough yet. I think Im going to wait until I know I can be confident in new situations.

I've always wanted to teach. Im in love with teaching young adults like my age, so I came to the conclusion that I want to teach in secondary schools. Id probably end up teaching English.

But I also have a passion for Interior Design. So I will be doing both :)

My career goals tend to change dramatically about every two months, but right now I want to go into politics - not actually as a politician, but as a speechwriter, or a campaign strategist or lobbyist - somewhere in the background. I also wouldn't mind taking the journalistic route and writing about it instead - especially in terms of editorial writing.

If that doesn't work out, I wouldn't mind going into another facet of journalism, editing, law, graphic design, or advertising. *shrugs* I'll figure it out eventually.

I want to run a coffee shop in a small town somewhere. I just love little places like that, and I love baking and cooking. I think I'm going to write when I can, not make it a profession or anything. My teachers all say it's a huge waste of talent, but hey, it's my dream....

You're a teenager, right? I forget exactly how old you are but that's what it seems like. Anyway, what you're talking about there is probably professional theatre? Very rarely, I've noticed, does professional theatre hire anyone who is under eighteen. (Unless I just haven't looked around enough. :P) For now you should probably just get involved in community theatre, stuff like that...

That's what I do now... And will probably continue doing. ;) Btw, I'm 16, not 43. Just thought I'd clear that up.

I sadly have no ambitions whatsoever for my life, asides from being happy.

Who is this famous PPTer?

Ah, come on, Setekh, we all know your ambition is to become a thundering god of death. :P

Grow up? *looks around nervously* But I am a grown up. And this is not what I was expecting my life to be like. Okay, technically I never thought past university. I think I just sort of assumed I would be a career student.

I still don't know what I really want to do with my life. I have a degree in Sociology, but I have no idea what I was thinking when I started studying that. I positively hate it. I would like to maybe go into translation/interpretation, but several years of disuse has left my French and Japanese with much to be desired. I'm going to have to go back to school again, try to get some certifications, and then see what happens. Actually, my first step will be applying to the JET program this year. The odds are stacked against me, it's a really hard program to get into, but I figure it doesn't hurt to apply. If I get in, I should get the Japanese practice I need to possibly go straight into translation/interpretation, or at the very least prep me for any certifications I need to get. I really need to find out how to get into this business. *sigh* Why do I live in Indiana rather than the West Coast?

I always have to show Nano around. Anyway, this is really fun if you like writing. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel, even if it's crap, in a month.

Well I know what field I want to enter but I'm not quite sure what job. I'm currently working at WHSmith but will be leaving in December when I turn 18, as I've just been offered a job in a Elderly Mental Illness home in which I've been doing work experience for two weeks. Generally Psychology is the field I wish to enter.

I dunno... I wanted to be a marine biologist for the longest time. Then I realized I was afraid of fish.
I might be a physicist. I love science. Or an orthodontist, so I can put teenagers in pain and earn loads of money for it! *cackles*

I'm 13 XP Yes, I've... been thinking ahead. Faaar ahead. My sister's high school, which is where I'll be going as well, has a very good theatre thing. They had this musical called Crazy For You, which I think they just made up and stuck in songs from other musicals.

It's too bad they don't hire kids. I could be a rawksome Oliver (that's pretty much what my singing voice sounds like, the movie one.) Unfortunately, I happen to be a girl.
