hey, which quests are the best as far as money and items are concerned?

Well, there's no straight answer to that I don't think. Taelia's quests in general give out the best items I believe, but she can ask for some really expensive stuff in return. And one time I spent 15np and the Esophagor gave me a 93k plushie. To ensure I get a profit I always do:
*Taelia's quests that cost under 3k
*Kitchen quests that cost under 2k (but that's when I'm hoping to get stats)
*Esophagor quests that cost under like... 100np (with his quests they are usually under 100np or over 5k (and more often than not they're over 100k) so yeah, just do the easy ones)
*Edna's quests that are under 200np

Oh and I never bother with the Brain Tree, he requires you to do 2 Esophagor quests in order to get his reward, and more often than not if you get a cheap first quest, the second will be extremely expensive.

btw, so basically i do not do kitchen quests if i only want to get profits from np and items? and i do kitchen quests if i want stats increase?

imre, kquests can give you stats, but it's not a guarantee. You won't always get a stat increase and if you have more than one pet, that stat can go to any of your pets (grumbles about that).

I've only done the brain tree to get him as an opponent for DoN. Every now and then I do an Edna quest, but she gets annoying ... and expensive! As soon as I get the Edna avi, bye-bye to those quests!

Quests seem to be more for people who are training a pet than for profits. If you don't BD, most of the 'prizes' are worthless to you (when the 'prizes' that come in the forms of stat upgrades).

i use the lab, waste of money for codestones and stuff

I have gotten some really great Brain Tree quests, so don't completely give u pon them. I once spent around 100NP and got 3,000NP and a petpet (another 3K), and I was happy . Small profit, but still nice.
