For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

EG :
My role has exactly 4 letters in its title
My role begins with a 7
I'm the Vigilante
He becomes much more powerful if he reveals his role?? O_O
[EDIT]
My role has 10 letters in it's title. It begins with a C. I am the Camel Namer.

Sorry, not doing any requirement like that. For all we know, that could really be for you, not Matt. Even then, I don't believe it. Sounds like an excuse not to tell anyone his role (even though if he would, it would get more powerful, which is better. o_0). Sorry, if I'm going to lie, it's going to be on accident, and in the form of "Matt is bad." Even though I don't believe this, I advise everyone not to comply, as we know nothing about where these "lies" are going.

Whats that role called again? When the person guesses if a person is lying or not?
Sun Jul 31, 2005 6:25 am
Not sure... the cheat master comes to mind, but I'm not sure if that's the right role or not. Could be something completely different.
Sun Jul 31, 2005 6:29 am
Ok, seeing how we're all being reluctant. I believe Matt is the Cheat Champion!. The Cheat Champion! is a role I created way back when, it allows the holder of the role to pick three statements said throughout the day by somebody (or somebodies) that relate to their role. If they are lying, the Cheat Champion! earns Cheat Points.
After collecting a certain amount of Cheat Points, the Cheat Champion! can purchase abilities. These range from protection, to a vigilante kill, to a resurrect. It takes several days for it to build up enough for the Cheat Champion! to buy anything decent hower.
The reason Matt becomes more powerful is, the moment everybody knows his role, people simply deliberately and obviously lie about their role to help him earn points and buy abilities. Hence why I've had about ten different roles and none of them have anything to do with my actual role.
That's why he asked about the first letter and said his began with a C. He wasn't revealing his role but if somebody lied, not only would he know they lied and create a suspect, he'd also earn a point.
That's why I've been lying about my role and asking you to do the same, I didn't want to reveal what I think his role to be though seeing how it isn't a role baddies want to keep alive for long periods of time.
The role has been used on IDB and NCW by NeopetsMom and I think Matt himself has used it in one of his hosted games. ScottNak has also used it in the past (and infringed the copyright by doing so *pulls out shotgun*)
Happy ?? Now do we all know why I was telling you it was helping the innocents ?? I may be completely wrong, but it fits, doesn't it ?
Now lie!

You know, thats what I thought it was, and I suppose I believe TDG and them... I dont know, maybe doing it only thrice a day, or else people might get confused a lot.
Sun Jul 31, 2005 6:46 am
I'm sure it's safe to lie, go ahead, your lies are probably going to an innocent... just not Matt...
Sun Jul 31, 2005 6:51 am
Now now, we've gone over this before. The first appearance of the role was unfortunately cut short, and I suggested to her that I use it so that we could see the true effects of this role. Permission ok

"Goood morning everyone. Here's the report from the happenings of our second night here in the village.
I'm sad to report that I first found Mandy mauled to death in her room. The townspeople report to me they found a faint halo over her head moments before entering... she must've been the angel who could dream of Mafia...
Secondly, there's the death of Kugetsu. He was also mauled to death... I'm sure I found a staff-like object which would basically identify him as the Shaman, dreamer of the werewolves. Definitely a big loss.
But that's it... so... look up.
I've also returned with some information on the forest. Apparently there are some very interesting fruits that grow there. Some that may contain special properties. However, it seems they only come up with the sun drops. I'll be sure to let you guys out into a protected area the next night so we can take advantage of this situation. Until then...
GET UP.
DAY 3 begins

What the...?? Two more dreamers gone?!

I am still unconvinced he is good.

Oh, this is not good. Two more dreamers? ._.

I don't buy your explanation.
Anyone else notice that Mandy was one of the first to vote for Matt (in yesterday's day/night cycle), and now she's dead? Yet another 'coincidence'.
Sun Jul 31, 2005 7:44 am
It looks like we'll be voting blind later =/

I'm going to wait to vote...

Guys, I hate to break your bubble, but I really am not stupid. Ever since the first game that all of you have played, you know that you shouldn't kill the person who is most suspicious of you. Anyways, yesterday, you accused me of killing by nightmares, and today, I'm a werewolf. If you're going to make up suspicions, make sure they are consistent.
The execution stop was due to me 'hiding in the office.' The Cheat Champion is an innocent role. There is no harm in telling lies, make sure you clearly indicate them as such if you do it, though.
The role being too powerful? I doubt it. I can hardly do anything, to be honest. The chances of me getting the exact role right is slim, and protection every other day is hardly momentous. One role has protecton from all deaths every other day without needing to make contrived posting requirements.
I think Scott has something... weird going on. In a game of about 30, 4 dreamers seems about right. What are the chances of all of them dying in the first couple of days. Slim, very very slim. There are a large number of dreamers going about. That indicates to me... well, either a lot of baddies, or a lot of baddie teams. I think we're dealing with a lot of (or all?) one-man teams, here. I did suggest this to Scott before the game, so... Who knows.
The two Werewolf killings have both been against people who frequent Randomness. People often target people that they know, so I think that this means that the Werewolf spokesperson also goes to Randomness. The people who go to Randomness who are experienced and active enough to make spokeswolf are:
.:CD:.
LadyNight
Syrill
the_dog_god
The first three also go to PPT, so why are they targeting two PPTers who also go to this forum. The last one is an IDB/NCW-er at heart. He goes for the people he's played with most, not knowing a lot of PPTers. He is also the most experienced on that list, and most likely to make Spokeswolf. His behaviour on the thread is also a litle... suspect, to be honest. I don't know why he is posting so many lies, if he presumes I can only survey 3 per day. (Even though when I've modified the role, it's been 2-5, but -shrugs-) This is not substantial by any means, but I want to throw out my suspicions incase there is a rogue, untrusting Vigilante -hisses-

Whee, let's dissect those paragraphs once again to see what you are *really* trying to say.
You think that people like to target people they know.
People who have been killed by WWs frequent Randomness.
Hence the WW spokesperson frequents Randomness.
You subjectively think that out of those who go to Randomness, only CD, LN, Syrill and TDG would be spokespersons.
CD, LN and Syrill wouldn't kill PPTers because you say so.
You claim that TDG is an "IDBer/NCWer at heart", and does not know many PPTers.
Hence TDG will like to pick off PPTers.
TDG is also acting crazily (as he always does).
Hence TDG is bad.
......
Man, Matt, I'm starting to like your theories. Keep up the excellent job!
