Mostly in cartons.
But we do have to buy it in bottles occasionally.

Lets get something strait don't say "Northerners" about milk in a bag.
Say "People from Eastern Canada".
Albertans at least, do not have milk in bags!

*buys it in a jug; milk in cartons tastes weird*

I miss jugs! I remember coming to Toronto from Calgary and I was like "What the Hell is this?" when I opened the fridge. It was a milk bag stuck in a long plastic container (The one usually found in the washroom -- No, we don't use the same one as the washroom you nasty people). It took me about a month or so to get used to the milk bag idea.

--misses jugs--

Also, these are how the milk bags in Eastern Canada look like,

This is how they look like in the carton thing,

I buy my soymilk in a carton/box thing, or a bottle/jug thing.

Milk in a bag. Weird.

As far as I can tell and from what I know...

Only people from Ontario, (see, Ontarionions) buy milk in bags.

BAGS! Its so cool. Better than a carton. Pift. Cartons are for juice.

We get our milk in cartons. :P

That milk in a bag reminds me of how they switched from little milk cartons to pouches when I was in elementary school because it was better for the environment and easier to recycle or something. They gave us a thirty minute presentation and free pouches of milk to "practice" opening so we didn't end up spraying ourselves. They ended up switched back to cartons because the pouches would end up leaking.

We had one school year of milk pouches. They were kind of fun while they lasted. Though they could be quite annoying to open, they were fun to drink out of (I was like 7 or 8 at the time). When you got to the very end, you could suck on the straw and watch the last of the milk inside move in little streams.

I always buy my milk in bags....(even if I only take milk for my cereals and cookies) but when we go in vacations to the USA (because I live in Canada, Quebec) We buy milk in bottles.
