If you watch this on DVD and have special features, listen to the commentary. It provides a very good insight to all the small details of the movie, which played such an important part in getting the whole "mood" of the movie across.

And I thought Butterfly Effect was a pretty good movie.
The ending made me want to cry though The one where he dies during his birth... not whatever the other one is.

The director or writers or whoever must've seriously lacked a sense of humor or something.

The movie could've been really great. It has a really interesting idea... but the movie was just BAD.

It's a shame that the director is Terry Gilliam, a member Monty Python. But anyways, yeah the movie's been getting horrible reviews everywhere. A recurring complaint is that "the movie doesn't know what it's supposed to be: a horror flick, a comedy, or an action picture."

*gets the feeling she may be one of the few people to ever enjoy it*

Jabberwocky (also directed by Gilliam, with Michael Palin in the lead role) got terrible reviews, and I guess technically it is a bit scrapplily done, but I really really like it.

I was pretty disappointed as well. It was just a bunch of French bashing and special effects. It had funny moments, but over all, it stank. The really funny thing is, I heard Terry Gilliam was bashing his own movie. Heh. I'd see why. It was pretty awful, shallow, and as someone said, messy.

That is a different ending to what I saw. I have the Director's Cut DVD, and the ending is really .......well.........umm.........different.

I am not sure who Larry Hamm is. Ashton Kutcher played the lead as Evan.

I saw the Skeleton Key.

The ending was unexpected.

I hid behind my bag for some 3/4 of the movie. I don't like scary movies much. ><;

But I liked it.

Oh really? Hehe, I guess I never really paid that much attention during those movies; maybe it's because I watched them in the theatre (where I'm often daydreaming) or it's because I was younger at that time.

But they were wearing normal clothes at the climax of the movie. That was the most noticible part, obviously.

I don't know, I just didn't really like that movie at all. The other two were much better, though not too good either.

I just watched Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time a few hours ago.

It was good, cute, although not as wonderful as I anticipated from all the hype about it...but now I want an Oogie Boogie doll.

I'm fairly sure I saw Eric Idle as an extra/beggar.

It's quite likely- Terry Jones is an extra in Jabberwocky (he's crddited as 'poacher' or something) and it's blink and you'll miss it...made me oddly happy though.

Didn't have many customer orders that I had to deal with at work (work experience, mind you, I'm not getting anything but credits for this, haha) today, so our supervisor let us watch some movies. I, Robot (the recent one), Dodgeball, and Office Space (1999)...that killed quite a few hours.

They were all decent. The latter two were quite funny, although some parts of it just made me kinda go "Uhhh..."- some rather potty-humour bits and completely weird swearing bits.

As for I, Robot, it was interesting- my supervisor told us students that it was filmed here in Vancouver. Some parts in his old neighbourhood, which got the futuristic-look-treatment, and one part in a cafe that looks exactly the same in the movie as it does currently. Anyway, I thought the movie was pretty cool, some interesting twists and little easter eggs that my supervisor kept pointing out.
