Although, more people lean towards first day executions mainly because if there is no execution, you are right back where you started most of the time on Day 2.

This is harder than what I thought, what with no-one talking here. Like Monique I fully expected to wake up to find a couple pages of votes/reasons/counter-claims/defencs posted.
Joining the bandwagon, if for no other reason, to see a good response, well at least better than "Everyone voting for me is quite obviously evil and in cahoots with Kugetsu =/"

Seriously though, I think it's best to have a first day execution. Not having an execution just gives the baddies a free shot, and you're usually in the same position in Day 2.

I really do think that we need a first day execution, and this is a lot better than just voting randomly. I don't know why, but I really have a bad feeling about this. I guess that I'll just have to wait and see though.

Yes, and of course nobody would lie and say they're one of the core players of the game. I could come out right now and say hey, I'm Bart! But I could be something entirely different. A simple "I'm whoever" doesn't help your case much.
