Jitterbug Perfume (rereading) - Tom Robbins

I bet you love it don't you! You totally love it! I'm so glad you love it! I love that you love it!

Have you read Still Life With Woodpecker yet?

I prefer Another Roadside Attraction to Still Life With Woodpecker, but all three are easily some of the best books ever written. Jitterbug Perfume is appealing to everyone, the entire novel is basically about beets.

I mean, come on, the guy found Jesus under the Vatican. And after that, the only question is, what do you do with him? XD

Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. I picked it up the day it came out and I'm loving it. It's really my kind of story. A spinoff from American Gods (although this is not anywhere nearly as heavy) with more of the flavor of Good Omens or Neverwhere if anybody's read them. Good stuff.

Made in America by Bill Bryson. It's about the development of American English, and stragely engrossing. I was up until 4:30 reading it last night until I realised it was 4:30 and I really needed to take a break to sleep. :P

Grendel by John Gardner

I have to read it for English class. It's the tale of Beowulf told from the point of view of the monster Grendel. I find this book to be rather confusing, but I'm only on chapter 4, so hopefully it gets clearer.

Truckers, Terry Pratchett. Not as good as Discworld, but still a nice read.

Vampire Hunter D - Volume 1 by Hideyuki Kikuchi

I had been trying to find the book for months now and managed to find a copy last weekend... brings back so many memories of the first anime movie. <3

The Misfits - James Howe

Don't really like it much, it's so stereotypical (ironically, it's telling us not to be stereotypical  ) and it's not really my type of book... gosh, I really need some better books to read.

I'm reading:

Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchet
Children of the Storm by Elizabeth Peters
A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin
a book of Ray Bradbury's short stories
a book of Neil Gaiman's short stories
Japanese for Busy People (kana version)
The Honor of the Queen by David Weber

There's a couple more that I just can't think of at the moment, though.

The Deptford Mice Trilogy: The Dark Portal by Robin Jarvis

I heard about this book for a while and I haven't finished it yet but it's really good so far, I knew it went out of print a while back but I just stumbled across it in the library and I got all excited because I thought it was out of print so I like, well, I checked it out...
