Do you mean the one where he climbs Mt. Springfield?

There's also an episode where he tried to dispose of a trampoline by chucking it off a cliff, but in true Looney Tunes style, it bounces back up and lands on Homer...after much waiting around, the sliff finally breaks off.

Lets see...

-The halloween one with the clones
-The trampoline one
-The daredevil one (You've gotta admit, that is kind of funny. Like how he's all strapped up and he just falls down the cliff again XD)
-The one where he climbs the mountain

And there's probably more, but it's not like it happens a whole lot. o_O

And about the movie, it still hasn't been confirmed so it could move the release date back, if there is going to be a movie.

Oddly, it doesn't make me laugh. It never did, it just makes me wince. It's odd how a cartoon can do that, but it's really, really nasty. Heh.

I'm not sure if it's called Mt. Springfield. It was a mountain in the shape of a face or something.

Ok, call me sad but I was quite excited when I saw the title of this post. I love Futurama, I have all the series on dvd and have been hoping that another series would be made. A movie would be great though. A lot of people I know can't really understand why I find Futurama so great - but it's hilarious and it's not really like anything else on tv. And I'm sure there are enough fans for the movie to be a success.

:D

Futurama has a massive fanbase -approaching even the Simpsons- but unfortunetly it was too smart for Fox.
Anything that uses more than three sylables is apparently too smart for fox.

Supposedly, it was too expensive to make (according to wikipedia). Now...fans could do it the Family Guy way. They made a petition that got thousands of signatures, and the dvd sets sold well. But it may be too late for Futurama... And The Simpsons is smart, they make many movie references, references to the media, politics, whatever, and yet, it's still original! It's not like Family Guy with all those fart jokes. (Before you say anything- yes, I have watched it. I watched most of the episodes they had before it was cancelled...waste of time)

Hmm...the only good cartoons I really like are The Simpsons and King of The Hill (I barely watch it anymore. It's on it's tenth-and last season). Futurama was ok, and Family Guy? I can't think of enough inappropriate words to describe it. -_- Never seen American Dad, but if it's anything like Family Guy, I'll never watch it.

I still think Fox wanted a new Simpsons, but didn't get the ratings. They were aiming too high.

Not related to the movie, it's related to the show:

Quote:
Variety reports that talks have begun at 20th Century Fox TV to revive Matt Groening's animated series Futurama, which takes place in the next millennium. The studio is in early discussions to put Futurama back in production and create a limited number of episodes of the Emmy Award-winning series -- although it's too soon to tell where those episodes might end up, adds the trade. While reports of Futurama's return have been loosely discussed in the past, this is the first time we've heard word of Fox taking an interest.

The final original episode of Futurama aired on Fox in August 2003. But since then, the series has found new life -- and fans -- via DVD releases and repeatedly high-rated airings on the Cartoon Network. Futurama remains popular enough that Comedy Central even stole away off-net rights to the show's repeats late last year; it will switch to the comedy channel in 2008.

:D I haven't been keeping up with Futurama news lately, but that made my day, Hil.

Futurama ended too early. I'm dying to see what happens with the unfinished Nibblonian business.

I am struggling to keep myself from doing some sort of happy dance on the coffee table. I refuse to celebrate until David Cohen or Matt Groening themselves confirm this news.

But man, it's looking really good right now. Someone at Rough Draft Studios (animation company involved with the show) apparantly posted "Soooo close" yesterday. Billy West (voice of Fry) also posted similar sentiments on his forum.

I love Futurama, and I am bored to tears by the Simpsons. I hope they still show re-runs on Adult Swim, at least. The thought of no more Bender is terrifying. :o

They atleast show Futurama on Sky-1 now and then.
Though i too am sick to death of The Simpsons.
It stopped being funny about five years ago, they would have put a horse down by now.
