have you been snipping the dead ends and stuff? that's supposed to make it grow. For a guy though it's longer than I've seen on most guys, maybe guys have like some hair growth limit o_o. Hey it's possible, I mean if cutting the ends of your hair makes it grow when the growth of the hair has nothing to do from the ends because it comes out of the scalp...then anything is possible . I know my hair won't go past a certain lenght because it's used to that lenght because that's how I used to cut it all the time, once it reaches that length it grows very, very slowly.

If you cut off the ends then it will get shorter. It's not a tree XD

My hair does the same thing. I spent like a half hour straightening it when it was longer.

Yeah I have the ends cuts off when I get too much split ends in my hair.
But I've been told that this really doesn't have anything to do with the speed the hair grows. That hairs just fall out after they've been on your head for a certain nr of years. My hair is about 65 cms, and if they grow about 1 cm a month then the hairs just fall out after about 5 years. If they didn't do this my hair would be 1,5 meters right now... ah one can always dream...

ANYWAY, of course it will get shorter when cut, but the main problem is probably not that your hair has stopped growing, the problem is that the ends are so worn out (kind of looks like that too, very uneven ends) that they constantly break off and thus even though new hair is added all the time it doesn't really show because the old part falls of. People who really take care of their really well and have genes for good hair growth can get it to incredible lengths.

The main rule is that if your hair has grown 2cm you need to cut off 1 cm in order to maintain the "quality" and be able to get really long hair. Sure, this method takes ages, but it works. Another thing I want to point out is that cutting off just a few split ends won't help, even though the damage is not visible the hair might not be in really good shape. There are simple hair analysis to check that out.

And that was probably all I had to rant about this time.
