Can't have a decent show without regular stick impalements :D

Mon Nov 21, 2005 2:15 am

As soon as I saw the radio I was expecting the conversation with Boone :P

I liked this episode, it showed a lot of what the other castaways have gone through in the past 48 days.

(yeah, I know it took me ages to get around to watching the episode :P)

Don't call them castaways. Or survivours. It reminds me of the reality TV shows :O

So predictable, her being a cop.

Thu Nov 24, 2005 3:11 am

Yeah, the cop thing was predictable. :\

Well, seeing Ana-Lucia's story and her expression at the end makes me a smidgeon more sympathetic to her character, but I still hate her, especially for her complete gun-happiness for the first forty minutes. I'll keep an open mind though, I suppose I might start liking/tolerating her character more throughout the coming episodes if she actually loosens up.

Watching Shannon die for the third episode in a row still makes me distraught. I was a little disappointed to see Sayid attack Eko rather than Ana-Lucia. :P

It's nice that he forgave her though, albeit also predictable.

Next week's previews haven't gotten me all riled up like the one for the episode, but I'm sure finding out Kate's past will be marginally more interesting than hating Ana-Lucia for an hour.

Thu Nov 24, 2005 3:21 am

Even though she was uber obnoxious this episode... I still like the character Ana.
I think they should've given her a more interesting back story though.
That whole cheesy line of "I was pregnant" thing was just bad and not very dramatic at all.
Although her walking up to him after she shot him and pumping him with a efw more bullets was nice :D

Seriously though.... the writers really must want people to hate this character.
First.. they have her pounding one of the most popular characters on the show, Sawyer.
Then what do they do this one? Have her yet again being a big ole witch to yet another extremely popular character Sayid.
Yeah... way to go writers!!
Now all you need is that big ole blinking neon sign above her head that says "HATE HER" and it'll all be set!

Next week's episode.... MEH.... is all I have to say.
I'm usually pumped up for the next episode but since it's gonna be all about Kate.... MEH is all I can say.
I thought we already learned everything about her stanky butt.

Thu Nov 24, 2005 6:12 am

Well, it's working. I hate her. I hate her with the burning of a thousand suns. NOTHING that happened in her backstory made me feel the slightest bit of sympathy towards her. She's just crazy and full of irrational, crazy rage and I can't stand her. It's all stupid Jason's fault, he shot her four times and didn't kill her? Moron. *hate hate hate*

The only things that made me happy this episode were Bernard and Libby telling her "Yeah, you saved our lives, but you're crazy and we're gettin the hell out of here," and the reunions of Bernard and Rose, and Sun and Jin. I actually got a little teary-eyed. hehe

I'm also not that enthused about next week. I'm actually one of the few people who likes Kate, but I'm so sick of her backstory. There are other characters we know practically nothing about and constantly hearing about Kate and Jack is getting boring. Tell us how Locke got paralyzed! Tell us why Hurley was institutionalized! Tell us what Mr. Eko's deal is! Come onnnnn!!

Thu Nov 24, 2005 6:17 am

Yeah seriously... I wanna learn more about Echo!!
I think him and Locke are gonna be super buddies!! That souonded so cheesy but seriously... they could make a really cool pair of friends.
I can't wait to see what Echo's deal is. He's so mysterious and strong and dernit.. just plain cool!

Thu Nov 24, 2005 6:27 am

Yeah, I'm looking forward to finding out more about him. :)

You know who else? Desmond!! Where the heck is he?? And what happened to Claire after Ethan kidnapped her? How'd she get away? And what about Walt? Is he having playdates with the teddy-bear-on-a-string kid? Darn you, J.J., tell us something!! Stop focusing on boring backstory!!

I'm quite surprised they actually revealed that. I was suspecting as much, but it usually takes them about four months to reveal anything.

When Locke and Eko saw eachother for the first time and were looking at him, I was all like "Locke/Eko OTP!"

What is with the whole recent death thing? It seems like everyone on the island has either killed someone or had someone die recently. Like.. is it cooincidence?

So many murderers.

And.. this is a little late, but.

What was the point of Desmond pointing the gun at Lockes head and saying he'd blow his head off if Jack didn't lower his gun? Jack had his gun pointing at Locke too.

Mmm..... Immersive LOST Advertising

So, as you all know, the station is run by The Dharma Initiative some strange institution, the website denies you when you try to login. We at Unfiction (another forum I'm in) have discovered that the logo is made up of I-Ching symbols (the Ba Gua, methinks) hovering over the 7 o'clock position on the logo for roughly 20 seconds, then trying to enter will work, which leads to a number sequence (I think you know which ones to type in) this leads to another login mirrored at http://thedharmainiative.com , Dharma Industries is the benefactor of the Alvar Hanso Foundation (http://thehansofoundation.org) it does link to The Dharma Iniative (though its sort of hidden)

A reverse DNS of the Dharma Iniative website leads to http://www.bigspaceship1.com a website that updates every 108 (the sum of the number sequence, and how often the music changes in Lost, when the numbers have to be typed in etc.) minutes with different Morse, and links to another website.

I'll post again when we manage to find out the login.

Well.. WOW this episode totally rocked!
I thought it was gonna suck b/c it was going to be yet another Kate episode (which makes me hate her even more now)... but it was actually a really cool episode b/c it didn't all focus on that skanky!

When Locke pulled out that film from that book..... and and.. The last part! OMG.....
And Sawyer finally waking up.. yay!

And Jack having a nice moment with Ana.

But that last part... my goodness... that was just plain awesome! I'm not gonna say what it is yet since i don't think west coast hasn't seen it yet?

Anywho..... good good episode even though Kate is annoying as all get out in it and her backstory didn't really explain anything to me other than her being a big baby.

Thu Dec 01, 2005 3:29 am

Well, I'm finally not hating Ana-Lucia as much, but that's probably because she only had a couple lines this episode.

Anyway, I liked the black horse thing this episode, that was kinda neat. The ending as well, but that was REALLY predictable (and that's the first and probably only time I'll ever find a scene as such in my opinion).

I was also quite disappointed that the previews for this episode led us to believe what'd happen to the hatch after it ticks down (and of course Locke gets it in juuuust on time >_>). At least that blast door reference gives us a few hints, but wouldn't seeing it actually blast into little itty bitty pieces like Kate's house be fun?

Now I just realised why that clock had stopped. *scratches head* Nothing important really considering how the ending eclipses that fact, but well, nice to know.

Hooray for an Eko episode! But I hear they're putting the show on a six-week hiatus cause of Christmas? Well, it's nowhere near as bad as the FOUR MONTHS for Prison Break. >_>

That's what it looks like, according to lost-media.com's episode calendar. Next week they're rerunning Everybody Hates Hugo (episode 4), then the week after is ...And Found (episode 5). The calendar doesn't show anything after that, but if they continue in that fashion until we're caught up, we won't see a new episode until the middle of January. *dies* I don't see why those people need vacations. They're filming in Hawaii, for crying out loud. *grumble grumble*

Anyway, good episode. I'm mad that Kate kissed Jack and then scurried away from him with a horrified look on her face. I like her and I like him, but if she starts toying with him like that, she's just going to mess him up and he doesn't deserve that. Plus, she's going to drive him to Ana-Lucia and that is just a fate worse than death. :x
