Green Day = Sellouts................

Some day you people will mature, and think back and be like "What the heck was I thinking."

I didn't have a problem with Green Day until they started getting into this whole politics thing. There are some bands that are meant to discuss politics in their songs and Green Day isn't one of them. It's not that I disagree with their message, it's that they're acting like nine year olds who think they know everything about politics.

I don't know if that is directed to other members or Green Day directly, but it's certainly not mature to assume that just because someone has a tendency toward something you don't, that they're immature.

The way I see it, no musician should discuss politics. Sure, you can sing and dance...don't mean your qualified to give America advice.

But then again...opinions are just immunity to being told you're wrong...back on topic...
I got a feeling I know who's gonna loose. ^^'
(By the way, Ammer. If you still need help, I'm free to help you. :))

I'll keep that in mind.

I'll run Versus for a few weeks and when I'm done, I'll see if you can take over.

Eh I think I will go with Green Day.
And I don't appreciate people bashing them because they are successfull.

However, you have full right to talk about how other musicians talk like they know it all.

John Reuben wrote:man, why you tellin' me this? it went in one ear and out the next and all I keep on hearin' is:
"Blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah."

It's America. Freedom of speech. First amendment. They have just as much right to sing about their political views are you and I do. Who's to say they can't give advice? It's not like everyone who listens to it has to take it, or does take it.

Anyway to get back on top, I voted for BEP. I stared at the choices and My Humps immediately popped into my head so yeah XD.

This is exactly why I listen to Japanese music. If they're talking about politics, I sure as heck can't understand it.

Better yet, I just avoid the whole issue and stick with seiyuu x)

Evanescence, I suppose. The others haven't really done anything outstanding. Green Day was just..well..eugyuk. Even old Green Day was icky. Not a fan.

I voted for the Killers. Not really because I like them, but rather because I want to topple Green Day, who are way too overplayed and have excessively long videos that I detest, especially since they're on heavy rotation here and take way too long. And it's not to say Green Day's music is bad either (I like Holiday), it's just that I've grown very tired of it.

Actually a lot of Green Day's earlier stuff was politically orientated. It's only now that they've become more popular and their messages have become blatant that people have started to realise.

And who says that Green Day are trying to change the views of America? They're putting their own opinions into their songs, which to me says that they're still making music for them and their enjoyment, rather than "selling out".

Some day you will mature T.W.A.C.H.N., and think back and be like "Why couldn't I have respected those peoples opinions?!". :)

Anyway, I prefer Green Day's earlier stuff, which is why I didn't vote for them.
