Ok. I shouldn't be having such a difficult time with the Meerca Henchmen. Try as I might, I can't beat them. Here's the situation;

I can never freeze them, but of course, they freeze me. On the first round they're bringing me down to 30-50 hp on average. Does anyone have any tips, or weapon advice?

Try replacing the Rainbow Frost Cannon with a Scroll of Freezing for 100% guaranteed freeze, and then train your strength a bit more for the 85 strength boost.
But then again, I'm having problems with them too

I've been working on a set for about 1m. This might be a bit over 1m due to inflation, but it's still a lot of bang for your buck.

My current set is-

Halo Of Devilpuss - This is probably the only questionable one I have in my set, but for it's price, it's the best I can get. It's an upgrade from Obsidian Dagger, and averages high damage. With the NQ2 items it can get blocked easily, but I am not dependant on it.

Frozen Wand of Crystals- It's hard to block, 7.6 icons, and defends water. The water dual duty isnt amazing, but it does let me get the Magic Hat instead of the Leaf Shield. Excellent item.

Tooth of Terask- Defends dark, which is the main reason it's in there. I debated Zapatron 2000 in its place, but I was worried about having too much light. Water is commonly blocked by Leaf Shield, but Air gets through most sets. Relatively cheap.

Illusens Earth Potion- Decent bomb, commonly blocked, but good for the price.

Downsize!- Staple in all sets, defends half of all, great.

Patched Magic Hat- Defends Earth, Light, and Physical. Some put Leaf Shield in this spot, but I already have water defence and need Light defence.

Black Frost Cannon- One of the best freezers, probably the best til Hypno Helmet. I hate Snowglobe Staff.

Greater Healing Scroll- Good healing, not a bad price. Scorchstones and Species Healers are another option.

Buy a honey potion which is once per battle and does around 14 icons, but it's around 600k-800k, and you might want a better healer like green scorchstone, or upgrade the red ss to a greater healing scroll. Get a halo of devilpuss, unless you don't want the downgrade to happen go with cloudy wand of storms, or frozen wand of crystals, which does around 8 icons for both! Also consider that some of the weapons, especially honey potion, I posted above may drop in price significantly, so I suggest you buy some weapons that will retain it's price, e.g florbix blaster!

Okay I got the honey potion and GHS (but did not turn in the SS -- I think I'll save the GHS for special opponents since there's always a chance of breakage.) Also got a scroll of freezing for special opponents.

The cloudy wand of storms looks pretty good to me, but I'm a little short. Probably will wait for that.

Okay, I posted quite a while ago and no one replied...I'm going to try this again.
I'm working on becoming a battle dome fighter, but I have NO CLUE where to begin! I've been upgrading my pet like crazy, here's my stats so far (mind, I plan to keep upgrading until I can no longer use the academy!):

I want to replace all of my equipment that is not up to par, but I REALLY want to replace the two Kougra items, I just don't think they're doing good!

I have a price limit of around 500k, maybe up to 750k, it all depends on the items and what they do.
Please give me ANY advice you can!!!

I really want a healing item (that DOESN'T BREAK), so if you could recomend a good one that won't take up my entire budget, that'd be Great!!!

Also, what does a scorchstone do? Lots of people talk about them, but I'm just not sure what they are!

The description lists it as "limited use," not "fragile," and there are many reports of people using it for 200-400 battles without a break. There was speculation that when it was first being tested, it was disappearing due to a battledome glitch. I don't know for sure, but I do know that if it does break, the break frequency is VERY low (some people say 1 in 100 battles). I definitely recommend it for pets with 100HP or less.

I would get it, but it onlys heals the damage not your pet, e.g you receive 40 damage and you use the healing scroll it will only heal 10 hp, that's what idb said!

You should buy a freezer which is reliable, like snowglobe staff, or one of the frost cannons, then get a healer, that heals 100 hp or more, then add a honey potion which should be around 600-800k, then replace snowball slingshot with a florbix blaster or, cloudy wand of storms or frozen wand of crystals which should be around 500k for the wands, and 350k for the florbix blaster. Then you need to find something that's a bit better than scarab ring, but for now it's okay!

You need to get a healer and you should replace battle duck with another weapon, because it deals common icons, you need to buy a florbix blaster, or a cloudy wand of storms or frozen wand of crystals. After that get a honey potion worth around 600-800k, then buy a snowglobe staff, or a frost cannon, by getting rid of the scroll of flame strike, and rohanes armour polish, and lightning scroll!

Hmm, just read this ... thinking, thinking. First of all the sticky hand is useless against the meercas. You won't steal anything good.

You need a freezer, which is a good idea to have for many 1 player opponents. Only affordable once-per-battle 100% freezer I know of is h4k. You also need a healer. Unfortunately, there's not alot affordable (IMHO), so greater healing scroll (50 heal post damage) will do. I use one and have not had it break.

The slingshot I used to use, and it can be good, but the icons are random and fractional. Not good with the meercas. The LDD? I'd actually rather see 2 scarab rings and lose that for this opponent.

bomb - gotta have a bomb. HP should be affordable right now (since there wasn't a war). If you can't afford that, at least get an illusens earth potion. For 1 player opponents, I use HP and the earth potion as a "double bomb".

I'm guessing you have all your abilities? sink, drain life, burrow, fiery gaze or diamond dust if you're not using a 100% freezer.
