so what if she's kidding? do you laugh at racist jokes? just having a bit of fun? jokes at the expense of another group of people are not okay just because they're jokes. i don't have to "get over" discrimination no matter how "fun" it is.

I thionk I've said this before, but I'll say it again- as far as I'm concerned, anything is fair game. Including myself. I don't think that's discriminatory. But then, bad taste is almost obselete for me.

There aren't many funny things you can say about Hungarians though. 'AHAHA THEY HAVE POT BELLIES' gets old after a bit, I guess.

I shall stop now though- it will just descend into me getting increasingly irritated and making many sarcastic comments/'offensive' jokes and so on in an endless loop of rage and good humour and then some bad humour.

I do laugh at racist jokes, but racist jokes aren't allowed at PPT.

Seriously though skizzy, you realise that most jokes are at someone elses expense, dont you? And that they aren't malicious, and in fact turn little peculiarities about people into something amusing? I've never seen anyone get offended by an "englishman, an irishman and a scotsman are playing golf.." joke. Irish people aren't all always drunk, all the time, but they can enjoy the jokes because they have a vague basis in reality.

Stop trying to take a moral highground against the DORKSIDED Igg and attempt to turn everything into discrimination. As far as I can see, there's nothing wrong with making a joke about the english gentry, "fisticuffs, what what?" nothing wrong with laughing at the stereotypical mafia character, "you come in here, disrespectin' me?" and nothing wrong with laughing at ice cube shouting "nigga PLEASE" because in NONE of these instances are you saying "KILL ALL THE BLACKS" or "I HATE JEWS", you are poking fun at the little nuances of people's behaviour.

You're like the epitome of political correctness, albeit with too much christianity cologne.

It's less about PC and humour and more about how making fun of religion is against PPT rules.

From the list given, I recognize: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Tet, Yule/Winter Solstice. I may not truly celebrate all of them, but I do try to do something for each: Christmas is required, since the family is Christian, but love their Pagan holiday (do the research. I am justified to say what I did); I adopted Kwanzaa a couple years back since it was different; and Tet is required by me since I converted to Buddhism-Daoism. Also given a bow is Tenno Tanjobi (the Emperor's Birthday in Japan) and Daoist rites. Peace!
