Bleach 62 - Shock and Amazement :o , I'm so glad the story has gotten better, I was getting bored before

Beck 18. Just a little closer to the end...*sigh*

Honey and Clover 1. What on Earth is up with the opening bit? I'm sorry but what part was just...eww!

Shuffle! 1. Figured I should see something everyone else is actually watching. :P

Jigoku Shoujo 1. Got through the first half, called my husband over, and restarted it. Definitely something to watch together. Besides, Masumi's seiyuu is Utena-sama! Too bad she's only in one episode. :(

Black Cat 11 - I hate old storylines such as the 'imposter that is revealed and then starts following the real person around' =/

I re-watched Ghost In The Shell last night because the last time I watched it was several years ago. This time around, I saw the whole thing and actually understood what was going on and got to appreciate the dialog. This movie truly is a work of art and I'm definetely going to purchase a copy of the DVD.

Transformers Galaxy Force 51 - Galvatron is dead, and Starscream is stuck in another dimension for all eternity XD

Beck 20-26. Yay, I'm done. It was okay, but hardly a favorite. Although I did love "Hit in the USA".

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

I saw the subbed version.

Shuffle! 2 & 3. I hope this gets at least moderately interesting. I keep reminding myself I hated the first 4 episodes of Love Hina and Chobits too, so I'm remaining mildly hopeful. Except for the fact that there aren't any characters I like in this one yet, unlike LH and Chobits... Oh well, need to go do some seiyuu research, some of the voices seem familiar.

Sailor Moon [Live Action] 35 & 36. Still loving it. ^_^

And i'm sure it was much better than the dubbed. that's always the case with all anime. i once watched Spriggan in english then japanese, and saw that thwy changed a lot of the words around, sometimes even get rid or key plot points. :o

I disagree; there are animes with good dub, just how many I'm unsure, but I doubt that they're as much a minority as many anime fans conceive. Ever watched the dubbed version of Kiki's Delivery Service? It featured the voice acting of Kirsten Dunst and Phil Hartman, both who performed exceptionally, and most everyone else, if not everyone else. I haven't seen the dubbed version of Nausicaä, but I've read the list of voice actors, and it has an impressive line-up, as well as the aforementioned; among them is Patrick Stewart (Dune, Star Trek) and Edward James Olmos (neo-Battlestar Galactica). Just by knowing they were cast, I find it hard to believe that the crew for the translation has little or no care about their dubbing quality.

I can also turn around and say there's crappy sub voice acting. How often? I don't know, but quite a few animes even though I've not seen many subs. For one, the voice actor for Claus in Last Exile sounded like a female or a guy who was hit in the crotch, and so does the voice actor for the subbed version of the Rurouni Kenshin movie, if memory serves.

Also, and back to Nausicaä, I don't know how systematic this thorough editing in the dubbing process is, but the only major name I've read come up is Cartoon Network. Nausicaä has been horribly edited into dub by a company I don't recall, if memory serves, but I know Disney's take (the one featuring the voice actors I've mentioned) stays true to the original in great extent if not completely.

Note I'm sticking to the question of dubbing, not misc. editing.

[Edit 1, 2, 3, and 4] So many typos and things to add. x.x
