I know some of my friend's got one..maybe it's going by countrys or something? Eg, sending to england one day, australia another etc..

O_O Why are hotmail and yahoo doing this?
They don't even come close to gmail.

They do it to have at least some consideration when users are going to choose an e-mail service (mostly new users.) Gmail currently is hard to come by leaving Yahoo and Hotmail to compete between themselves.

Exactly. Did you really think Yahoo or Hotmail would throw in the towel that easily? They at least have to put up a fight. But they don't stand a hair of a chance.

Hotmail's been annoying me. I've been getting a bunch of spam, and I was getting an average of 5 viruses (virii?) a day sent to me. Oh yeah. Great service...

I have that problem with yahoo. I keep getting emails from people I don't know with attachments that have viruses in them. I'd rather stick to hotmail or something.

I'm going to stick to Hotmail. Maybe try G-Mail but end up sticking to Hotmail.

Haha...I probably did too. I get so much junk on my hotmail account that it's hard to find the decent e-mail. That's why most of the important things go to my school e-mail account. Hopefully when I'm out of college in two years, I'll be able to get decent e-mail service and use the school alumni network to forward mail from my old accounts.

I don't see any difference from the basic email providers, such as hotmail, msn, and yahoo, big whoopiedo! I will stay with mine right now thank you very much!

I got that email.
I can't say its because of Gmail, seeing as I haven't been able to get on Gmail seeing as no one I know seems to care that they can have 1GB of email, so I can't get my little paws on a code. So, for now I have to put up with hotmail.

Hmm... I never got that email either. Then again, hotmail did delete my account about 6 months ago because I wasn't logging in and checking my email enough.


gmail is becoming like the livejournal frenzy of last year. Everyone seems to want one, so they are begging for the invites. It took forever for me to get an invite from someone ( huggles Ang for giving me an invite). It seems everytime someone said " I got an invite for lj, who wants it?", even if I was the first person to say "I do", they'd turn around and give it to someone else at the last minute. Then lj decided to go non-invite. I think gmail is going to turn out like that sooner or later, non-invite. I know I"ll never get an invite for it, so I'm just waiting until then. Because right now it just doesnt' seem worth my time or effort to beg for one.

Probably, since right now its just in beta mode. I heard they aren't giving out invites anymore though.

Yup, I got the email. I would've deleted without looking though if I hadn't read this first. To me its just spam.
