*Slides a mug of milk down the bar, only to have it crash on the floor* Err, I'm kinda new at this job. *Sets a new mug of milk on the counter*

[first day execution speech that at least one person has to make each game]
Not nice? Maybe. But wrong? No. This is what first day executions are for, to kill people.
Personally I think an execution on day one is better than trying to make up for not having one on day 2, since day 2 executions are usually based off of terrible reasons and is limited to one or two people.
Don't do one the first day then without information for the second day, you're basically redoing Day 1 with no people, which for all intents and purposes is when people dig through every little detail they can find to make someone look evil, regardless if they are or not. "Ew, they're posting like they're evil.", "They're helping too much." Anything will be found just because there wasn't an execution attempt the day before and people want to kill someone. Either that or people will start becoming fixated on killing no one.
At least in voting people on the first day, there will possibly be an execution, and not only one person to a prime target as it could very well be randomized which I've found to be more dependable then taking players' words for it. There are times when not having an execution works out fine, but that's when the innocents have an obvious advantage and don't have to worry about getting rid of someone evil right then and there.
