Never once can I remember ever thinking about if a spot was shady or sunny... I guess I don't pay enough attention. So, I guess I'd get the close one.

Definitely the shady spot. The walking is good for you and I hate trying to hold on to the steering wheel when it feels like it's on fire.

If it was only like 15 minutes (eg supermarket), I'd go for the one closest to the store.
