I think they might go for speed, but not precise, down-to-the-second speed. Maybe days or half-days, to give other time zones a chance. Although the method you suggested is a good suggestion, and probably quite likely.

i think it's important to keep in mind that we're not done yet, and the clues have been getting harder lately. the punch club thing was pretty tedious, and i'm sure there's going to be more involved clues later on. we might not get another item like the ring of the lost, but i'm sure there'll be some nice prizes.

I actually think we have done more work than you give us credit for. In TNT's plan we've had to find the links, find the constellation pattern, and then search through all the stars on your chart to find the constellation. However, the difference between what TNT expects us to do, and what we have done, is huge. Many of us just use the constellation finder php script. Great little tool, but it makes it seem a lot easier for us, than tnt actually made it.
Keep that in mind :-)

Personally, I'm hoping for an item that is just as good as the Ring of the Lost.

Have you ever seen the daffy duck/bugs bunny cartoon? The power of the pen was a match for daffy that day. I think a battledome eraser could be interesting also.

What we get as a prize could be effected by how generous Neopets is feeling. I felt they were a little less generous in the advent this year. I think we will get something better than a handfull of sand but a good paintbrush or battledome item seems like it could be beyond the complexity of this plot. Even though it is getting trickier, it is very different than the LDP.

I think I remember those erasers being the reason Hynfaerie (Am I allowed to post the username?) self froze.

I remember that fiasco... they retired it from the hidden tower after just 1 day. What were they thinking putting it in there for 250K? I think it would have been a lot better if it were a once-per-battle item that would temporarily erase a random item of your opponent's.

A staff member told me a while ago that this "will not be anywhere near as complicated as LDP. Simple mini-plot to help introduce Altador is all." She didn't mention prizes, but if we get them, it's safe to say they won't be 4 mil+ BD items. Which is good, because seriously, this plot has been SO easy and has taken so little time compared to the LDP that I'd be annoyed if prizes were comparable. It's just for fun; it's not challenging, and any rewards will reflect that.
