Thanks!

I've been gone for an awefully long time...since the 3rd...moving...blah...anyways...I was really far behind, but had no problem catching up thanks to this site! Thanks a ton!

I would say 'You're welcome', but I would have to say it on behalf of the site, because I have done diddly-squat about actually helping. I just suggest weird and random theories that nobody will ever believe, and that will never happen. Heck, it's fun.

Latest Theory: There will be another constellation soon

Revelation: It may be related to one of the statues in the Hall of Heroes

Interesting Idea: It may be one of the ones that hasn't already got a constellation in the sky

Extreme Suggestion: It might even be the Collector!

Interesting Question: If it were the Collector, where would it be?

Interesting Answer (Theoretical): Possibly on the island? Looks like a good hideout for a thief, but what about a hideout for a tax inspector? I'm sure they need it just as much. Or maybe we'll see the National Altadorian Bank opening, or the Skeith from the ordinary bank mentioning his cousin in Altador, who just so happened to be fat and have lots of money.

Interesting Answer (Actual): Not a clue

(This is my new way of setting out theories. Like it? :))

Well, if it *is* the Collector, in the game, you had to "awaken the four guardians" in altador before you could beat the darkest faerie.

They were:
Fauna (who was called "Protector of Petpets") aka the Gatherer
The Collector
The Theif
and The Gladiator.

You had to find the Gladiator in the colosseum, the theif in a series of underground tunnels under the city, Fauna you had to deal with a bunch of petpets to find, and the Collector was located in the City Treasury.

The city was divided into four parts: Colossum District, Bazaar District, Garden District and Market District, respectively - split up like four pieces in a pie.

Plus the Hall of Heroes, where you talked to King Altador, himself, and he told you that you had to find the four guardians.

The city on the neopets site looks very similar to the city in the game.

If it goes along with what was in the game:

Gormos will be in the building all the way to the left behind the round fountain-looking thing (It was an aqueduct in the game, and you had to climb up on top of it and sneak into the building through the roof.)

Kelland will be in the statue that is at the very bottom within the city walls. (In the game, there were three statues and you had to arrange them properly, which opened up a secret hatch - took me FOREVER to figure that out!)

And I think that Fauna will be in the building directly above the "Magical Marvels" sign. (Hers was the easiest to get into, except that you had to chase after a bunch of miamice to round them up, and then once you were inside, you were attacked by drackonacks, which you couldn't hurt or it locked all of the doors :P)

That's just my best guess.

Sounds good to me. It's easily the best theory I've heard so far, anyway. So:

Interesting Revelation: They appear to match what happens in the game

Revelation Likelihood: Very likely - seems like the sort of thing that would happen - they choose something which you have an advantage if you've played the game, but don't lose out if you haven't

Summary: The Collector is likely to be hidden in some bizarre Bazaar somewhere.

YAY!

Now I feel like I've contributed something as opposed to just following directions ;)

Yes, thanks very much. Us Britons wouldn't have been able to find that out without that information. Hopefully that will be used in the plot.

Hello- i am new the forums but have been lurking a whole- this theory sounds good- but why would they (TNT) make it just like the game? wouldn't it be too easy (and a bit boring) to solve if you had finished the game?

Is there no Darkest Faerie game in Britain?

We got it like two days after it came out, because I LOVE rpg's, and a neopets rpg for me is like finding out your chocolate is filled with chocolate :)

Plus, I collect the TCG's, and there was a promo card in it :)

Well, that is just four of them out of twelve. And so far, with the Gladiator, it is the same.

Plus, they did change the Altador map from the game to the site - but the locations from the game are still identifiable. I.E. the aqueducts not connecting to the treasury and there only being one statue as opposed to three.

There is even a neggery exactly where it was in the game.

That's why I'm guessing it will be similar.

And it is exactly that - just a guess.

I just wasn't sure how many people had played and/or if anyone was aware of the similarities.

SNak Edit: Do not double post! If you have something to add, use the EDIT button on the top right corner of your post (given that noone else has posted after ya!)

I have looked for the game here in the UK and can't seem to get hold of it. If it is for sale in the Uk I would love to know who is selling it so I can buy it.

Mon Apr 17, 2006 9:56 pm

You may have to get it online.

Try Amazon.

Dunno if the region dealie effects video games, though.

Sorry, just checked it - ships to the US only. Try ebay, maybe?

Mon Apr 17, 2006 10:34 pm

How about amazon.co.uk ?

Mon Apr 17, 2006 10:41 pm

Nope not even amazon - as far as I know it was only coded for region one (north america)

Mon Apr 17, 2006 10:42 pm

I believe TNT noted that they are not shipping to the UK yet, but on ebay.co.uk you can find people in the US shipping worldwide. :)

The Neopets Team wrote:Altador Update! - The Archivist has been expecting a new clue to reveal itself since Friday morning, and is surprised that it hasn't been found yet. Hopefully someone will discover it soon so we can figure out what exactly is going on in Altador!

Hmm. Subtle. But there is no new link that I've seen. Maybe I need to refresh my links, though.

Mon Apr 17, 2006 10:55 pm

Sounds like neopets is claiming there was a plot update Friday and no one has found it.
