Maybe it's really an evil bird. Without legs.
Whatever it is, I think some of the weirdness comes from the fact that it's in motion.
But as for the dot in the tree, I think that's just a light-thingy. I get those on my camera all the time.

Na I figured out what the light in the tree was. There is a grey car behind the tree and the light is shining off of the windshield. It is kind of hard to see because it is grey and blends into the road.
I am not sure about the white cross on the ground, but I think that is just sticks of plants or something that fell like that. Then again it could be marking something, but I think it would be too small to see it from the air.

What flag is that, exactly?

The aliens obviously.

Looks French which means it is obviously an USAF attempt to accuse the Frech of illegally spying on middle of nowhere southwest thus giving us another reason to nuke them back to the stone age. Crafty Frenchies. Teach them to spy on us :P

I think it might be a bird to be honest. If you look closely you can make out wings and if the bird is flying fast it would look weird. I mean, there IS a possibility that it's a UFO but...it probably isn't.

I think I figured out what it is. I went on google looking for military blimps. There is a new one called the air walrus and when I compare the color and shape it looks very simular. The front of the blimp is pointed and the front of our thing is pointed. There is a small tail and ours has a small tail. There is a black underbelly part and a whitish stripe and I think ours has that too. So this is what I think it is. But it's still cool to get a photo of it I think, becuase it is a new thing they are working on. This might be one of the test flights for it or something.
I just contacted the defenceindustrydaily website, maybe they can tell me if I guessed right.

Well, the French flag is actually blue-white-red, so that flag is upside down.

And what do you have against the French? They brought us wine, cheese, and baguettes which you can fight with. :P

Those blimps are amazing :O
The blimp and picture looks similar. Its either one of those or a UFO. We never know. I still find the fact that your dad got this picture quite cool.

Editing your post... I liked your original response better.

But surely your dad would have noticed the blimp when he took the photo? It seems odd that you could only see what you thought was a blimp when the photo was developed. They aren't that easy to miss and the one that you showed us looks massive.

You should have said so in the first place.

I don't know. It kind of looks like a giant flying penguin to me. Maybe it's a kind of mutant or an alien race of super-intelligent penguins that are scouting to take over the planet! :o

In either case, I think it's still a great picture. :)

For being the flag upside down, that's the kind of thing French people would do, besides, maybe they were in crisis!

Wine has been suggested to be invented in present-day Iran around 5000 BC, and no, they didn't invent Cheese either. Credit goes to Turkic Tribes in Central Asia. And the "baguette" is direct descendant from bread made in Vienna, Austria. :D

first glance, i thought it was a helicopter, maybe a blimp.

that white light in the tree is the sun's reflection from the car window.

Well I wrote to the defenseindustry website and asked them about the air walrus, but they said this couldn't be that because the air walrus project was never completed. They said it could be some other kind of solar powered shiny blimp though.

It also could be an unmanned us spy plane like this.
The shape and coloration seem simular.
You have to admit even our real stuff is beginning to look more and more like flying disks. Pretty soon people aren't going to know the difference anyway.
