How about Panadol for pain relief?

If your entire mouth is sore, put an ice pack to the sore area for no more that 15-30 minutes at a time, once per day. Anymore and you'll get frostbite.

Or you could try Advil or Tylenol. Well, at least this is all what my sister's doing now, a month after her jaw surgery and getting her elastics on her braces.

Advil is ibuprofen - it's just a brand name.

Aleve is naproxen, for those who were wondering.

Eek..I have to get elastics soon. I think my orthodontist put on something my last appointment for them-I'm not sure, since he never tells me what he's doing. It's up to me to figure out what that stuff on my chart says..

What's the point of elastics, anyways? Fixing over/underbites? Does it move the jaw horizontally in relation to the upper skull?
