Well, according to the storyline in the game:

The Darkest Faerie was sealed in stone by Jerdana's Orb.

Altador was "sealed in time" for a thousand years in order to protect it from outside intrusion - i.e. if the Darkest Faerie came back, it would be harder for her to take it over, again. But time still passes, there - just not nearly so quickly as it passes in the rest of the world.

It took a combination of the strength of all the protectors and Queen Fyora's magic in order to seal Altador from the outside world, which is why they all lie "dormant" (in the game, they weren't really statues, but they did have to be re-awakened).

Queen Fyora had the power to send Tor and Roberta to Altador in order to seek Jerdana to help defeat the DF.

Many people, though, are saying that this plot is supposed to be taking place AFTER the DF game plot.

Which means that:

The darkest faerie has already been released from her underwater prison. (Oddly enough, the clasp on the necklace broke and fell off, releasing her.)

Tor and Roberta (heroes from DF game) have already awakened the heroes and destroyed the DF with Queen Fyora and Jerdana's magic. (Details are fuzzy on this one, though, because it's been awhile since I've played, and we no longer have a ps2.)

But in the game, the history was very simple to get - once you were in Altador, anyway. But the DF's magic had started to take over there, and you had to destroy a bunch of "tainted" pets that were villains, and when you did, the Altadorians came back out of their houses and reopened their shops.

This is why I'm assuming this plot is post-DF game - because there are shops and stuff open. When you got there in the game, the shops were *there*, but either they had nothing in stock, the shopkeepers weren't willing to sell you anything, because they were afraid they'd need the items for themselves, or the doors were barred, and you couldn't get in at all.

Anyway, I am more inclined to believe that this supposed "second betrayer" did this in an attempt to help Altador out - not merely hide things from it - and that it will prove to be someone other than the Guardians - either someone we haven't heard about, just yet, or perhaps even Queen Fyora, herself.

It could even possibly be Roberta - she was turning into quite a Sorceress by the end of the game, and it would tie the current plot back into the game some more (as neither Tor nor Roberta exists in Neopia-online).

Just some info, for those without the game.

I mean, they said that they have seen this magic before...yes?

What is Altador was hiden and lost all there memory after the Darkest Faerie insident, because Fyora actually wanted to start Altador all over again, on a clean slate.

Like, not having the residents know that there might be a horrible chance htat the Darkest Faerie could come back, or i dunno, now I'm just rambling on, lol

I doubt it we got to Altador through her chambers, so it wouldnt make since to expose us to information just to hide it.

What I ment by it, is now since it is known to the public now, maybe Fyora wants Altador to start over, in a new way, without having someone trying to take them over....omg, i need sleep, im rambling on about stuff that doesnt make sense!

Neopedia : Kingdom of Altador

Current Location: Unknown (near the sea)
Founded by: The Twelve Heroes
Primary Ruler: King Altador
Council Members: The ten remaining heroes
Areas of Interest: Altador Coliseum, Archives, Hall of Heroes
Long cherished as one of the most outstanding kingdoms in all Neopia, Altador nearly faded completely into myth before making a recent reappearance. Word is quickly spreading that two young heroes, a Lupe and an Acara, had something to do with the great city's restoration. Now, thanks to the aid of Queen Fyora herself, it seems that the Darkest Faerie is once again trapped... this time in a place where Fyora can keep a close eye on her.

With the Darkest Faerie gone, the kingdom of Altador is no longer at risk, which is why it's been made accessible through a portal located in Faerie City. The citizens of Altador are still somewhat dazed by the thousand years that have passed since they were last free, but they seem to be slowly recovering. It appears, however, that many are having trouble remembering the impressive history of their city.

I honestly think they just give themselves some leeway to make sure all the graphics design and coding is done in time for the next section. As wonderful as TNT is, it is made up of human beings and they can only draw so quickly and coding, even when done with supercool programs, is still a pain in the bum. Things would need to be double and triple checked because holes in a plot are no fun.

Then again, maybe I'm too zen about everything in general :D

You can never be too zen about things. ;)

There's a high likelihood that a new miniworld (or globe, fingers and toes crossed) will be revealed with the end of this plot, so TNT is no doubt stretching out the plot wrap-up just a little. Like silver_wolf2003 says there is so much unvolved with the release of new stuff, it's to their benefit (and ours) to take their time.

Today is the day for a new clue, probably...but then again, maybe not...XD Either way, we'll get there eventually...

new globe? check out the thread. not really useful, just us dreamers dreaming dreamy dreams...no, some of it might happen. but yeah, a new globe is overdue. ;) But here i go again, posting rewards i want. anyway, the statue thing was just because i was bored...so, when is SNak gonna split? o_O

Tue Apr 25, 2006 11:12 pm

No need to ask when we'll split, someone will split when they get to it.

And for all that is good, READ THE WTFAQS BEFORE YOU POST. I put it there for a reason, yet it still seems people don't want to read them!

Anyway. Split to come shortly.
Eh. I'll be lazy. Go look for it yourself.
