What? :o The House finale was more confusing than any episode of Lost ever.

Most of it was confusing because half the time they used huge words which nobody would understand without a dictionary beside them. But apart from that the season finale of House was really well done.

I just got done watching Lost (recorded it)... and DANGIT if this isn't just the most AWESOME SHOW EVER!!!

Like what the heck was up with the statue?? Seriously.. nm that the one foot was HUGE!!

And what's the consiquences for letting the timer go? From what it looks like.. nothing really happened.

And what the heck was up with the pterodactyl looking bird?

And and.. what was up with the ending?

Aaaand... is Mike and Walt really gonna be saved? I don't think so, well, not by the good guys...I think they're gonna be captured by the Hanso people.

And and.. why wasn't anyone freaking out over the bright light and noise? I mean come on.. seriously.. these people are the LEAST curious people I've ever seen.

And when they door fell from the sky.. was I the only one who thought of the Truman Show?

If it was the door to the hatch that was blown off, then how the heck was it shot up into the air?

And and and... *faints*

I want more!

Except it turns out it was all a hallucination? What the heck? o_o

Anyway, this is Lost. I wish that another plane would have crashed because of the electromagnet and on that plane was Dr. House. :D I'd love it.

Thu May 25, 2006 6:28 am

(Regarding the whole House thing- yeah, it was even more confusing than Lost, which is rare, but there's so much to analyse in there. Like why House would dream up...a bloody explosion in Chase's face. :P)

Anyway, letting the timer go made the electromagnetic thing go haywire. According to what Desmond and his old partner were saying, the electromagnetivity increases as the timer ticks down (that's how Charlie's belt stuck to the wall). When the timer goes past zero, it goes overboard and sucks every metal thing towards the wall. Must be very strong, considering how it sucked in everything from a fork to a pan to a washing machine to a plane.

Was that seriously the door from the hatch? I thought it was just something falling from the sky, something dropped from a Dharma plane. Maybe I'm just really unobservant...

Locke was SO annoying today. But man, did it feel good to hear "I was wrong." No kidding!

Something doesn't seem right about how Michael and Walt are just leaving. I think something's gonna happen when they arrive at whatever coordinates Henry told them to go, something perhaps not the fault of the Others. It can't be that easy...can it? Anyway, someone mentioned how Walt isn't taking his dog (Vincent) with him. Aww.

Yay Desmond. I nearly missed the ending after Charlie and Claire, I almost thought it was a commercial break. It does show that this show will have an end where they get off the island, cause they tied in the real world (the foreign hatch people were speaking Portugeuse) using Penny. And I'm glad they finally gave an explanation for how the plane crashed, but I don't really understand why Desmond didn't tell Locke earlier...

I do hope Desmond lives. Cause if he doesn't, the Penny plot will drag longer. I also hope Ecko lives, but couldn't care less about Locke. Or Jack or Kate. :P

And yay for Libby's backstory. I've been wanting it to continue, cause it can't just hang there.

About Locke, I thought it was interesting that he has now turned into Jack, disbelieving the power of the button. And I'm sure that's not the last of Michael, there's so much more they could do. Actually, wasn't this the first episode where they actually showed something off the island in present time? Everything else was always flashbacks. It's possible they could continue Michael's story when he gets back, especially if he gets tangled up in Hanso.
I also want Eko & Desmond to live, they are two of my favorite characters! Along with Henry, for some reason he just interests me. But I could happily watch them kill off Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and to a lesser degree Locke. They really need to play up more of the other people's stories. And the Jack Kate Sawyer luuurve triangle is dumb, at least to me. It seems to be based on: "I'm hot, you're hot, let's make out!" At least Claire & Charlie have the drug issues, i wanna be the daddy issues, trust issues, etc.
But that's only my opinion!

I don't know. While I don't like Jack much, I think if they killed him off, there would be something... missing from the show. Same with Kate and Sawyer. Locke they can get rid of. By the way, I hear the artist formerly known as Henry Gale is going to be a regular character next season.

For the bird while they were in the jungle it was actually kawing "Hurley, Hurley"(or atleast that is what my subtitles said while i was watching) So maybe now the island makes animals talk to hurley...?

Thu May 25, 2006 11:38 pm

Personally, I don't think that the place exploded. Here's what I think happened.

In the episode, it is said that due to "The Incident", there was a leak in the Electromagnetic energy on the island. Also, throughout the episode(s), they keep mentioning "blowing up the dam". Now, if the electromagnetic energy is only being released in small amounts every 108 minutes, then that is like a dam only releasing a small amount of water. I think that when Desmond turned the key, he unleashed the full electromagnetic energy of the island, and that is why it could be detected in the Arctic (or Antarctic) and how Charlie could walk away unscathed from it. It would also explain how the hatch door hap enough energy to be thrown a hundred or more feet into the air and land on the beach. I think that this is more likely than an explosion in the hatch, because if there was an explosion it wouldn't cause the whole island to glow white without harming anyone we've seen after the unleashing (well, nothing physically has manifested itself).

Anyway, I think that was a fantastic episode! Not only does it wrap up the Michael/Walt thing, but it opens up a whole new can of questions, the main one for me being 'How the hell Penny knew to look for Electromagnetic energy readings', and how this all links in with Hanso and Dharma.

Oh, and about the bird. I couldn't really hear anything, but I'll watch it again and listen again. Although there are some people that are sayingit appeared in "Exodus", so if it is the bird from then, then we know that it either:

a) Appears to warn hHurley of danger, or
b) Is a stramge bird that lieks having cameos in the Season Finales.

One thing that someone mentioned on another board....

I really hate it how the writers make these chars the absolutely least interested, ask no questions, give no answers people EVER!!

Like after that bright light and noise... why was no one freaking out and asking WTH it was?

And when Charlie came out at the end... why did he sit there with Claire instead of trying to get people together to see if Desmond, Locke, Eko are alive?

And how much do you wanna bet that Sayid, Jin & Sun aren't even going to mention that big foot statue they saw!

It just gets so freakin frustrating!

The foot is going to set off the Atlantis people again I'm sure.

And yes, as a heathenous downloader I rewatched the bird and it was pretty much going 'Hurly'

Well I personally think that Locke and Desmond are alive, but if Eko is dead then it's through blowing himself up. Think about it. Charlie would not have been able to get that far away from the hatch, and an explosion that has enough power to blow the hatch door, which was at the top of the hatch, right up into the sky and down onto the beach would have at least made more noise than a high pitched shrieking. And it would have certainly killed Charlie, or mutilated him.

And I think that they will mention the statue, but only to Locke and Desmond.

Yeah, and then it craps gold. I think that was my favorite line in the whole thing.
