I was just browsing through some music files there and I found "Saturday Night" by "Whigfield", and it just brought back a whole flood of memories from my childhood. I never actually realised how good my childhood was!

Anyway, the point of this thread is just to post what you remember aboutyour childhood. Did you have this one Barbie doll that you just would not part with? Were you as obsessed with Power Rangers as me? Did you get caught up in the Pokemon and Harry Poter frenzies?

John Smith. I had his armour, compass, dagger, everything. I wanted to be a boy or a dog. Oh, and Barbie Girl. And Doctor Jones. And Prince Phillip Barbie. Hehehehe.

I had lots of Barbie dolls, but whenever I played with them they were never actually Barbies - they were always made up characters in some made up stories :) I did that with Puppy in my Pockets, too. Power rangers, I watched them sometimes, my favourite was the red one. And as for Pokemon - I had sooo many cards from swaps and stuff, I only ever bought one packet though - still having trouble believing that I did actually pay like £7 for 30 or so pieces of flimsy cardboard.

I used to pretend that I was a boy or a dog, too :P In fact, I was quite happy to sit up in my room for hours on end making up a story about somebody adopting a dog and acting it all out.

I looved cheesy pop groups like S Club 7, Steps, Westlife, Boyzone, Hear'Say...eeesh...

:> I was a strange child.

well, seeing as I'm not quite an adult yet, my *childhood* is when I was under 10! lol

I remember being homeducated quite a few times, seeing my dad every week and being run over by a car. I had soooo many barbie dolls (that now belong to my sister) and teddys. I also remember falling down the stairs....that hurt! lol but that is all I really remember... o_O

You're an adolescent/teenage. Henceforth, not a child. Not living your childhood. ;)

I remember swinging from the house curtains like tarzan... then there was the time i gave my best friend a sticker box to protect himself from robbers when i sent him home by himself at 11 o'clock at night (we were like.. 8 years old)... then there was this time he fell off the brick wall at the front of my house, broke his arm but i convinced him it was nothing... then there was that time i was chased by an emu... that time my 1st grade teacher stole my lion witch and wardrobe book i was so proud of for 50 cents... then that time i crashed my parent's bmw driving it backwards down the street (it had to be written off - i was 8)... then... there were those times when i use to adopt stray dogs (there was this one that was bigger than a large german shepard, he was gold and totally hairless, so cute! but he based my metal fence and broke it trying to follow me to school)... well... i shall say no more.

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

I had a Winnie the Pooh stuffie that I took everywhere.

My parents made me mad and I threw it out. I miss my Winnie the Pooh :(

I remember receiving G1 Optimus Prime for my 5th Birthday (a bit odd considering he had been released some 8 years earlier, but my memory is good enough to tell them apart)
And also Devestator the same christmas... and my brother breaking hook that day :x

then its pretty much blank, other than a few birthdays...
And then Secondary school.
Bullying, Racial abuse, pretty much the whole shibang, even got a load of flak from teachers too.
Was home schooled here and there, but noone was really willing to help me, so I moved.
And fared little better, but the one differance was that the teachers werent trying to get my parents locked up for negligence (Me mum wouldn't drag me into school.... yeah. Negligent, and thrankly I would have loved to see my year of head try and get me in.)

So I pretty much remember alot of reasoning for my Agorophobia about my childhood.

I used to pretend I was a dog. Irish Setter, most of the time. I also used to climb and play in the dryer (not when it was on, of course, though I always wanted to). I used to pretend I was Buffy the Vampire Slayer... oh wait, I still do that, only now it is more purposefully comical.

Hmm...I was extremely anti-Pokemon (Still am!). I loved to play with my model horses, though, and I spent hours up in my room acting out stories with my dolls. I also read Nancy Drew books religiously, and....-blush- I liked N*Sync and Aaron Carter

Favorite memories: GI Joes and Lego sets everywhere, especially Lego as I got in my later childhood. I could build most sets in less than a day, less than 12 hr in most cases too, no matter what the difficulty. My friends would always take multiple days for the larger sets. The only problem was that we couldn't afford the bigger sets that I wanted so I missed out a lot on some of the cooler limited edition sets. I still have a few of my larger, more rebuild sets in my room in Sacto.

Other side memories: Memorized the Super Mario World game guide in 2nd grade, read Jurassic Park in 3rd grade, started collecting CCGs (Magic, Star Trek, Star Wars) in 4th grade, gained a nice, giant scar on my leg in 5th grade, was top in my class in math and science in 1st grade, generally top in my class in math until high school, etc.

I got into Harry Potter after my childhood... I remember I was a tomboy, always playing with other boys. We used to go to the park, and I was bossy so I got to be second in command of the gang... Sometimes we played soccer in this small place in the school's yard. I used to carry stuffed plushies around, not a single one, I had a dozen of plushies and all of them in turn were my favourites. The boys teased me because of them, and I really can't blame them now :P but I was really angry at them.
I used to read a lot, I read some pretty big books as a child. Of course, I didn't have the 'net so I had a lot more spare time back then.

I was given chocolates by an air-hostess one time, I thought that was one of the neatest things ever to happen at the time :) I also read Babysitters Club and Goosebump books religiously as well as anything by Blyton, Dahl or Rodda.

I used to play with my little ponies and barbies. I never actually acted anything out much. I mostly just enjoyed dressing them up.

I had a few toys I was attached to at one time or another.

I mostly stopped playing with toys when the nintendo first came out, and then that is all I played with. I love all the Mario games as well is this classic game called Shadowgate. The last nintendo game I played was Zelda Majora's Mask I think.

I wasn't into music as much as other people were. I'm still not into music that much. I remember when I was was growing up and kids quit playing with toys and turned to listening to music after that. Everyone wanted a boom box for christmas and some tapes. Everyone started watching MTV. At school kids started talking about their favorite bands and I just didn't care really.

I listen to the radio and that is about it. I hear new songs and I like some of them, but I never followed a band very closely to where I knew everything about each singer, drummer, and guitar player there is.

I guess one reason I never got into a band much, was because it seemed like when I finally started liking anything, it was suddenly not cool anymore.
