2006/Y8 Altador World Cup (Split 5)

ARGH! Can't change teams!

I click on the scales, the go to my scores, then click on the altador (my current team) logo, then click on ANY team logo, it says Updated! in it's mocking voice, BUT DOESN'T CHANGE!

So it's a more mature situation and a little bit frightening to some younger players, but I think it's the kind of edgy thing that would attract more people. It's a demographics kind of deal.

Shadow_Twisted - magnificent idea. I can just see the linking of two types of plot here - puzzle and battle. The puzzle is decifering a series of clues, to make your way to the chamber - but discover that the goblets have already been drunk from...

...and then the uber-battle begins. A huge hoarde of lethal monsters, summoned by the one who drank from the goblets - maybe somebody new, maybe an old enemy, like Dr Sloth or Darigan, or maybe even a misguided hero, like Jeran, who ends up with an alter-ego controlling him. That would be an amazing plot.

And, I made up a Meridell chant (it sounds best if said quickly and continuously, with emphasis on every other syllable)

The knights of Meridell will play
To win and play another day
And on they roll, and on they go
Ne'er to be stopped by any foe
And on they go, and on they roll
Forward to score another goal
And off they go, and play and play

I'm having the same trouble with switching teams. My little brother played a couple of games and of course lost, so I wanted to reset my scores. I change to Terror Mountain (which was probably my third choice after Faerieland) and then changed back, but I play as Terror Mountain even though on the My Scores page (my actually scores, by the way, didn't reset) I'm Maraqua.

(Guess it was a little confusing)

And you do have to click submit to get your new game to show up on My Scores, or at least for wins. I'm not even going to try to lose a game to test.

Maybe the My Scores page isn't going to update until after Thursday, when you can't switch teams - then it'll update your team there. Otherwise, it would require a lot of changing on the page. I'm not a computer expert though, so don't quote me on this.

My team is correct there, but not on the practice games. And it updates when I send a new score.

Oh right, I understand. In that case, I have absolutely no idea what to do. I was just fortunate enough not to bother with changing my teams because it was too much effort. Otherwise I wouldn't know who I was supporting.

Wow! Playing the game on http://www.Link Not Allowed/storemyneo/altadorcup.htm and submitting will put the score on the My Scores page! I just played Maraqua vs. Altador and won, and now I have six wins instead of five!

I guess it does make sense, though.

I think I've finally sorted out scoring with the Faerie and Mutant balls, now I just need to wait for the tournament to start. (And decide what team to be in the end)

And I have a feeling that the seeding for this competion is going to be based on the number of players for each side, as to lower of the chance of there being a Roo Island vs Kiko Lake final where very few people get to play. .So going by Kazaroth's Petpage, the first round should look like this:

Darigan vs. Virtupets
Maraqua vs. Kiko Lake
Krawk Island vs. Tyrannia
Faerieland vs. Roo Island
Lost Desert vs. Brightvale
Haunted Woods vs. Meridell
Altador vs. Terror Mountain

i played in 1-3 formation and had 4 wins limit, but now i change to 2-2 and scored 5th!

I think that that's the way it'll have to go, though. For example (sorry to all those who hate football, or soccer) in the World Cup, Trinidad and Tobago, for example, don't have an easy group because they're not as good.

And as the only way TNT can judge the teams is by how popular they are.

Although I hope that it isn't done that way, because at the moment, Meridell don't look like having too many supporters.
