I have dial up. When I go into a shop everything is already gone before the page loads. That can be really annoying. I've given up restocking.

I suppose you could be a 'rich' person with a t1 connection in your home, but it seems a bit silly to me. My cable connection is much faster than t1 and is cheaper than paying for a phone line to the house and dial up service. Anyway, I guess my point is that while t1 in your house is probably expensive, there are faster, cheaper options available.

i don't think the connection makes a huge difference. for speed, try firefox. won't help much, but it's free and a bit faster than IE. and cable works fine for me.

i've had cable since gosh, i can't remember when, but i moved in with my boyfriend a few months ago and he has dial up... i haven't made a single neopoint since :| it takes ages for even a single page to load 
lol... but seriously, i love playing neopets, but all i can stand these days is hitting up the lab and petpet lab.. and even those i have bookmarked... forget making np, i simply don't have that kind of time :\

Yep, a cable connection will be faster than a T1 (for downloading, but not generally for uploading) and there are a LOT more people on neo with cable connections than T1 connections anyway.
