Gerrard's a prat, I've no time for him. Good player but argh...idiot.

Probably was Cole, but I only saw the replay and after that it went off my mind..

Gerrard's awesome :o I don't like Lampard..

I'm hoping we'll be playing Germany in the knockout phase, and also hoping it will be a game to remember, hopefully, for the success :)

Well, US still has a chance it seems.

I can't believe I'm going to have to root against an African nation. :(

SERIOUSLY?

I was shocked when Saudi got ahead- Ukraine were always the favourite in that.

Same with Spain and Tunisia.

Ohhh I see.

Cause I didn't think it was the most sensible bet to take on footballing grounds alone. :P

Hehe it's not like I lost too much - just gotta buy him a bag of donuts and he'll probably share em out with everyone ;)

EDIT: Kinda disappointed that we're not facing Germany, but may be for the best ;) C'MON ENGLAND!

Personally I'm going for the Czechs, purely based on heredity until they are banished in the second roung. Other than that Portugal has been my team.

Of course this is all very temporary until there is a hybrid Canada-Hungary team to showcase that breed's obvious supremacy in absolutely every discipline.

BOO to the czechs. US has to advance! :P
*waves Italian and US flag*

GER v SWE, ENG v ECU, ARG v MEX, POR v NED

Got some interesting games in the works. *nods*

And if somehow Japan pulls off a 2+ goal win against Brazil to even have a shot of advancing... hoo boy.

US looked...awful. No other way to put it. This is a team that didn't deserve to advance, so I'm glad they didn't.

For those of you that keep track of these things and try to establish a country's superiority purely through sports, The United States and Iran wound up with the exact same record.

MP W D L GF GA Pts
USA 3 0 1 2 2 6 1
Iran 3 0 1 2 2 6 1

The moral: Democracy can't win you soccer games.

USA's Goal difference is -4. Nice.

Our sweepstake has a special prize for lowest points accumulated and least goals..

I dunno why, but I feel sad that USA didn't get through..

Nah I'l get over it ;)
