I'm heading off this Tuesday peoples! Mwah!~ Mucho gracias!!

Sun Jun 25, 2006 2:25 pm

And now for my speech...

Okay, if you visit Houston, make sure you visit Austin. It's about 2-3 hours away from Houston by car.

You should definitely visit it Yukio, because you're a musician and Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World! There's tons of places where musicians can play for people. Oh, and we have fantastic barbeque and mexican food. Be sure to visit Hut's Hamburgers for great burgers.

Dell's headquarters are a few miles north of Austin, and Whole Foods' headquarters are here too. They sell all organic food, but the new grocery store they built here is so cool. We also have the Congress Avenue Bridge, where the largest colony of Mexican free-tailed bats in the world lives. And Lance Armstrong lives here.

Oh, and one of our sister cities is Adelaide, Australia. :P

theonlysaneone wrote:Exactly! I can't imagine why people are wasting their time with so-called "cities" like New York and Chicago, when they should be focusing all their time and energy on Houston. Seriously, people. What the heck is wrong with you?

Chicago is great city to focus your attention on, it's just that most tourists don't, and so they get a rather run-of-the-mill trip. If you come to Chicago, you should really find a way to explore some of the neighborhoods that have such a unique history like Jackson Park, Lincoln Park, Logan Square, and Rogers Park. It's really great for the people who do put more time and energy into the trip! :D

Anyway, have you decided where you will be going for sure?

or you could have a good trip and come to Canada. :D

(...I tried).

Have a great trip! Take lots of pictures.

And if you do decide to come to Philly, PA let us know. I had no idea there were other people from here on the forum. Maybe we could all meet up somewhere in center city :)

There is a North Dakota, though, and a North Carolina. So that makes up for it.

since you live in Australia, i dont know if you know your states in America, but i didnt make up north virginia for the virgin thing.... we do have states with virginia in the name, and lots of states with "north" or "west".... so i mixed them and made up a state..... and LOTS of places have strawberry fests, sourcrout days, apple festivals, etc...... so grapefruit days isnt all that unrealistic

Yawneth

Kym just popped up on vietnam from a netcafe thing thats slower than 56kbs, so I said i'd post a lil update as if it was from him. So just pretend this is kym posting this.

Kym wrote:Hey Guys! I'm having lots of fun in Vietnam, i miss licking every'one's faces and i will double lick everyone when i get back. Its really hot here, and hopefully when I get to the USA (3 days) i'll be able to find a good net connection!

Now heres an interesting fact for you, and an insight into what Kym really does get upto on his holidays (i have permission to share this). When he came online, I asked him for some sort of stereotypical vietnamese story with opium and hookers, and then he says...

ÇLêåÑúþ íÑ i§Lè 3 says:
well you won't believe this
ÇLêåÑúþ íÑ i§Lè 3 says:
but I'm at a hookers place at the moment
Cap'n says:
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
ÇLêåÑúþ íÑ i§Lè 3 says:
well it's called an escorts villa or something

:roflol:

CLêåÑúþ íÑ i§Lè 3 says:
the place belongs to my dad's friend
ÇLêåÑúþ íÑ i§Lè 3 says:
they like.. never told me about this plae when i was young
Cap'n says:
hahahahaha
ÇLêåÑúþ íÑ i§Lè 3 says:
i just assuemd that a lot of girls liked hanging around here

So there you have it, a short risque update of what Kym is doing right now
