It just doesn't seem to tell you that the gender's changed. I used it three times in the BD, thinking it was a random occurance during the battle, before I went back to check on my lab pet and realized she was female again.

Does cape of the sun do anything other than change a pets gender? Good tip though. Bought meself one just in case. Cause I'm not getting a lab ray on my main now. Don't need one.

I don't know about you guys, but I really think they should be limited to one or two per account, since it seems like people purposedly hoard pets and give them bad names, and often abandon them later. That way others might get a chance to get LE pets. Thoughts?

They said they'd release 10k more. So since they released 5k a few weeks or months ago, I can't recall, I'd say that's it for now.

There's nothing other than the strange potion or lab that will reliably turn your pet mail. I think there may be some neggs that have a chance to, but that's about it.

I ended up "hoarding" Cybunnies (5) because I was trying for a robot colored one, and didn't want to waste the NP on MPs if the species changed during zapping, but once my first turned island, I adopted the other 4 out. I also adopted extra Hissis to later give to people who were missing out at the time.

That said, I generally agree. People who hoard pets for the sake of hoarding pets aren't playing fair to those people who geniunely want a pet of X species. I would have been severely disappointed if I'd missed out on a Lutari today, and I know I was incredibly lucky. It did annoy me to see people with accounts full of Lutaris, especially since you can't pound the darn things and give other people a shot at adopting them.

On the other hand, who am I to tell someone else how to play the game?

Good idea. Especially for the Lutari, since you can't dissown them.

hey, I was one of the lucky people who got a lutari the first time they were released. The thing is, I didn't bother with any of the stats or pet info or anything once I had the name in, and Quorly turned out male when I wanted him to be female. (I'd picked the name of a girl otter from a book.) So I was wondering what would be the easiest way to change his gender without using the lab ray? I had no idea strange potions were so expensive! T___T

If you have the Lab Ray Scientist as a battledome challenger (you need the lab ray to get him as a challenger) and fight him, he uses the Strange Potion on your pets, this will change the gender of your pet.

Does the lutari paint brush actually turn your pet into a lutari? if so a plain or is it coloured?
