The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

I had no idea there was going to be an extra scene at the end (I saw it the day it came out), but I had a feeling there would be, so I forced my sister to stay behind. Definitely worth it. =D

I died a bit when I realized that the ending was a cliffhanger, and I'd have to wait another year for it to be finished.

As to the Barbossa/get Jack back thing, I've heard speculation that both Barbossa and Jack are in purgatory.

Also.

Norrington? HOT. *kidnaps*

Ohmagosh! I do believe that Beckett needs to throw Norrington into a bar and let him continue to drink. I've never seen alcohol turn someone for the better - I just really disliked the pasty white wig he used to wear. God that was awful.

Seriously. I think it was the real hair and the scruffy beard. The first time he came on screen, I was like "... o_o O_O :o !!! <3 *tries to get through screen and into PotC world*"

I swear, that was my entire reaction. =D

(well, aside from the "tries to get through the screen and into PotC world" part, 'cause I'd never ever do that for fear of publicly humiliating myself. :P )

Yeah, I'm immune to that. Whether it's PotC or PotC 2 Norrington, whenever I see him I see Steve from Coupling :P

What is it about the rugged look that makes us girls squeal? Throw a bit of dirt, sweat, long greasy hair, and the slight presence of a beard that only makes a man look shifty, and then sex appeal of a man goes through the roof, despite the fact that such a sight in real life would make you cross to the other side of the road. And don't think I'm being critical because I'm like that too. And strangely enough, watching him stumble around drukenly only made him more appealing. And then he became a sort-of pirate as crew on Jack's ship, and I could've done a dance right there. And then he betrayed everybody to save himself, and I forgave him anyway, because he's just hot now. If you're hot, you can get away with anything.

Hahaha, me too. And the awkwardness that goes with it.

The first time I saw POTC I was just going 'IT'S STEVE!!!!!'

*misses Jeff*

Apparently he's in the new Cracker, but I didn't even know that existed!

You are so incredibly right. I did not have any attraction to Norrington in the first movie, but it the second, my best friend and I were both like, hmmm.... isn't he looking tasty?
After the movie, I went on IMDB and found his page. He's clean-shaven in the picture, so I was like, eh... Maybe it's just a bad picture.
Then last night, the first movie was on TV, and I paid special attention to Norrington throughout. I felt nothing, not even a spark of interest.
I hope he's scruffy in the third movie!

I don't care, the bit where he started singing "I have a jar of dirt! I have a jar of a dirt!" reaalllly made me laugh. Best scene of the movie in my book.

I also loved Jack Sparrow's girly, arm waving run. :D

I miss Jeff too. Best character in the series, and then he had to go and leave us ;_;

His replacement was crap and all.

So I just got back from seeing it about 20 minutes ago. Wow, that was great! When Will was attempting to get the key from Davy Jones, my heart was pounding because I expected him to wake up.

And I was totally surprised that Barbossa came back to life.

One question: Why was the monkey still undead? He was part of the crew, but the curse was lifted, so shouldn't he have been made un-undead?

Same reason Wills dad stayed undead (Until making his deal with was-is-name) I immagine.

Magic.

there's a scene at the end of the credits of the first movie, where the monley goes back to the chest and takes a piece of gold out, therefore he is cursed again and undead. Since they say in this movie that the isle has sunk into the ocean, there's a good chance the monkey will always be undead. poor thing.

Awww, now I wished I stayed after to see the dog scene after the credits. I was wondering why a whole bunch of people were still sitting while everyone was leaving. :P

It was a good movie all in all. My cousin HATED the cliffhanger though. The whole ride home she was ranting about it, half asleep.
The action scenes were intense. That was some fancy footwork there.

I never used to like Elizabeth, but now I'm quite a fan of hers. She was kicking as a pirate. :D

I went and saw it once more today :D
It was even better the second time, because my mom was finally able to see what I saw when the monkey went and sat beside Barbossa's boots. Although, I must say, seeing the movie in my little town theatre was much less exciting than the Regal 12 thirty minutes away. My feet didn't stick to the floor then.

I've been invited to go see the movie once more tomorrow afternoon, but I'm not sure if I could handle going to see it twice in two days
