Not the greatest food (none of any real value). So I figured that if my pets chose them, then they should be happy to eat them, right?

Pet 1 (Snow Pepper): says '*BURRRRRRP*'
Pet 2 (Rotten Wormy Apple): says 'That was horrible :('
Pet 3 (Non-Magical Orange Chia Pop): says 'That really hit the spot!'
Pet 4 (Gruel Cake): says 'Thanks for that, I was really hungry'
