1)What does the leader of the trade company want with the compass, and why?
Whoever has control of the heart has control of Davy Jones who in turn has control of the sea. I think you can assume that with the heart, Cutler Beckett can further increase his riches or something...but it'll probably be more fully revealed in the next movie now that he has the heart in his possession.

2)How did Bill Turner go from the bottom of the sea to jone's crew? Obviously he was part of the curse of the gold, so was left down there alive for quite a while, but then what?
Jones went and picked him up (his ship can go under the water afterall) and then they struck up a bargain together as Bill Turner explained.

3)Whats the plot behind jone's crew? They are all near-to-dead people who jones allows to work for him for 100 years instead of going to a watery hell? This 100 year enslavement is Davy Jones locker? What sailors are allowed this deal with him?
I think the idea is sort of based on actual pirate recruitment tactics. Many times when pirates raid a ship, they offer survivors of the ship's crew work on their pirate ship. If they refused, they killed them. It's said that this is how Great Pirate Roberts got his start in the "business" (a little trivia for you there). And this is probably how they fit it into the legend of Davy Jones which I have suspicions that they either completely made up or dug up from some book of esoteric sailor lore.

4)What's the story beind the heart... So it's Davy Jones heart, right? Tell me again why its buried, and still beating, and why he carries his key around... (is it so he can go back the chest whenever he wants?)
According to the story Tia Delma tells, Davy Jones had a true love. But then at some point he lost his true love, and it pained him so much, he carved out his heart so that it would pain him no longer, and he put it in a chest and hid it. You can assume all sorts of reasons for the reason why he still carries the key, but I guess the best is that you don't want to end up losing for good something as important as your own heart because you lost the key.

5)Whats the deal between Jack and Davy jones... why does Jack owe him his soul or 100 other souls, and why does HE want davy jones heart?
The deal was that Davy Jones would raise the Black Pearl from the depths of the sea so that Jack could captain it for 17 years, and in return Jack would owe Davy 100 years service on his ship. But when he met Davy again, he managed to renegotiate the deal that instead Jack would give him 100 souls. You can assume that Jack wanted the heart to control Davy Jones, but I myself still question why Jack wanted the picture of the key to the chest at the beginning of the movie if he didn't get reminded about the bargain by Bill Turner until afterward...

6)Why does Will want to destroy the heart? Will that then kill Davy Jones? If so, what would that accomplish?
Will wants to destroy the heart because that will destroy Davy Jones. He wants to destroy Davy Jones because of the promise he made to his father that he would free him from his enslavement.

7)Why does Jack initially go to Tia Dalma, and what relation does he have with her?
He went to Tia Dalma to get information about Davy Jones because she knew that kind of stuff. With that information he hoped to get Davy Jones off his tail and call off his "beastie". The only relation you can assume he had with her is that he had "relations" with her (knowing Jack's way with women and all).

8)Why did Norrington lose his job and go from very respectable to... street rat? So let me get this straight... he finds out that the leader of the trade organization wants the compass so he can get the heart, so Norringtons private goal is to get the heart and bring it to him so he can get his job back?
Norrington lost his job because he let Jack go in the first movie (he let him have a day's head start). The reason he wanted the heart was because Cutlass Beckett had offered to give
Jack a job working for him if he could get the compass (or the heart, either would be great). Beckett's leverage against Jack was that it was only a matter of time before Jack was caught and hanged. But Norrington got the heart and hence received the job that Jack might have got (or refused really).

9)What happens to Governor Weatherby Swann?
Dunno, but it can't be good.

10) Who is the creepy dark guy who follows Elizabeth around? (Like he's watching her as she pulls norrington out of the mud)... is he with the trade company or something? Why is he so wierd? whats he up to?
He works for Cutler Beckett. He's a sort of assassin/eyes-and-ears type guy from what I understand. I don't think he has a bigger part than that unless they plan on giving him one in the next movie.

11) What is Davy Jones then? Are we supposed to know how turned out how he did, or is just a dark villanous devil of the sea basically? Who has a beast friend monster called Kraken?
He's the devil of the sea *shrug* The reason he's so grumpy is the whole girl and heart thing. Dunno how he got control of the Kraken, but I guess he has special unique powers of the sea or something.

12) Elizabeth chains up Jack to the boat so that the rest of the crew can live, because the monster is after Jack and his ship. Why is it ONLY after jack and his ship? Is it because he is the leader, or because of the deal he made with Davy Jones? Or what?
It's only after Jack because Jack is the only one who made the bargain with Davy Jones.

13) So with Jacks... death. Is it like a Lord of the rings moment, where the most beloved and most respected character totally changes the plot by dying.... as he enteres the giant beasts mouth *like Gandalf the grey does as he falls into the big pit with the monster?* like... is it the same situation where we are supposed to assume he is dead, but then also assume he will make a dramatic comeback? Or is it NOT up to him and up to his crew to save him?
Oh, he's definitely dead. The next movie is going to be about eveyone going to get Jack back (and wrapping up numerous other plotlines). Perhaps Jack might try to come back himself, perhaps not. But Barbossa didn't come back just to hang around and do a jig, that's for certain. It's difficult to make predictions about it.

14) Where is the crew now going, along with barbosa? Does the witch lady imply that they must be WILLING to sail to the ends of the earth and bascially do whatever it takes to get jack back because its going to be SO hard to do, or do they literally need to sail to the ends of the earth in like... uncharted territory so they need barbosa?
Wait till the next movie
I guess you can say they need Barbossa though because if there's anybody who can lead them to where the dead rest, it's going to be someone who's already been there.
Quote:
15) What are we supposed to assume about barbosa being alive? The witch lady saved him, and why would she? Or is it all about timing and Jack put the coin in after he gets shot... *even though the bullet wound bleeding would kill him after he was cured form the curse anyway...* but then why would he end up back in the swamp city?
Another question that will most likely be answered in the next movie. The hows, the whys, and the now whats.
