How old does an account have to for a person to adopt a painted pet over level 1?

For example, I have a level 31 x-mas chia on a side smurf, and a friend wants it. How old does my friends account hav eto be, for her to adopt the chia?

The account has to be three months or older.

You can check if an account is old enough my using the adoption quicklink.

If the account is not old enough, it will say so. If the account is old enough, it will say that the pet already ahs a home. If it says you don't have enough NP to adopt the pet, withdrawl that amount and check again. Afterwards, you can re-deposit the amount.

I'm pretty sure it is actually a four month waiting period on adopting pets with new accounts. At least, that is how long I had to wait to transfer pets from my main account to one of my new side accounts...

It is nice that you wanted to help, but wrong information can put people in bad position.

If you go to the Pound and want to abandon a pet this comes up:

I haven't abandoned a pet in quite some time, and my memory told me it was three months.

I apologize for the error, but since I have been corrected I do not see why it is still a problem.

I just wanted to highlight the fact that if we don't know for certain the answer, then maybe we need to search for it or just say we are not sure, especially if we are relying on memory.

That is weird, because my 2 month old side account was able to adopt a pounded pet about a month ago. And another pet just recently.
