What are the neopet intelligence levels in relation to how many books they have read? Thanks

The ratio of my pets books read : intelligence = around 1 : 2.3

Ratio of the pet who has read the most books 1 : 1.68

Obviously the second one is most accurate, seeing as the starting intelligence isn't a major factor in their intelligence now, but in general I'd say that intelligence will rise by 1 or 2 every time you read a book

You can also raise a pet's intelligence by playing Guess the Card and Cliffhanger and, occasionally, by doing the faerie crossword. Coltzan's Shrine can also raise intelligence. Certain neggs can raise and lower a pet's intelligence. And I believe that the wheels can give and take away intelligence as well. So, all of these could skew a ratio. For example, one of my pets is bright even though it has only read one book. And that's because it was my active pet when I played Cliffhanger.

another question along these lines. What does having a pet with high intelligence get you? Meaning do you gain an advantage anywhere? (not as tho i'm going to stop readin to my pet but I'm curious)

Certain battledome weapons work, or work better, when your pet has certain levels of intelligence.

Really? Which ones? I've never heard of this.

Seems more like the higher your pet's intelligence with books and things, the more you realize that raising intellegence is not intellegent on the trainer's part.

Crisp Blue Tunic (100 hit point life drain from opponent if you have 750+ intelligence), Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic (75 hp heal with 500+ intelligence), Heavy Blue Tunic (100% freeze with 1000+ intelligence), Tunic of Warding (defends extra with 300+ intelligence), White Linen Tunic (defends extra dark, required intelligence unknown), and Heavy Robe of Thievery (100% steal with 100+ intelligence and 200+ movement). I think that's it for intelligence, but I'm not sure.

Oh, and my battle pet has 365 intelligence. He's read 194 books -- I didn't go out and buy any specifically; I'd just read him any I restocked at the igloo or won from Mystery Pic or Lenny Conundrum or fishing or whatever.

Meh my pets (jeordisan) intelligence is at 55 (total genius) and he has read 22 books, although he has had intelligence increases from the shrine and so forth aswell. My lab ray pet which i adopted from the pound is at 68 (master genius) and has read 38 books... didn't realise this when i went to adopt him, was an added bonus to adopt a plain boring pet with quite a good intelligence level :D

Wow! :o I did not know this. Thank you for replying. My highest Pet is at 87 (master genius) I'll have to start taking the books I come across more seriously.

What are the intelligence boundry thingies then (clever, master genius, etc) and the number of books you need to read to attain them?
