Here's a thread where you can show off your best-thought-of, most coincidental, or most conniving names.

The two names that I am proudest of are:

Raamka, my Red Xweetok
and
Grab_Life_By_The_Jub, my Blue JubJub. It looked kind of like a ball, so...

Barenypoculus is cute and fits my baby Ogrin, so I'm rather proud of that :)

well on my main account, all my pets have "weez" in their names, and i named them after their elements they were intended for.... and i properly named their petpets as well!

Infernoweez, the fire krawk, with Kindle the red Krawk (kindle starts fire)

Wattweez, the electricity poogle... with Sparky, the Dua... which worked out perfectly, since its "spark"y..... and sparky is a dog name... and a dua is a dog petpet!

Neoweezel the ghost draik was made first, so he doesnt have an elemental name, but has a ghost cyodrake named zephyr, which is a gentle breeze.

Weezmarine, the water/ice Jetsam, with Flux the Spallard
(not only is flux a perfect sounding name for a spallard, but flux is something flowing, or making it flow, to turn into a liquid nature.)

So it was pretty fun naming them, especially their petpets... since the petpets have names that are smaller versions on my neopets elements... so i think its pretty cool.

My Draik is called Alexil, because that's what Lillie calls me.

Dan (Xil) still claims it's because I love him and wanted to merge our names, but he's just silly. Stupid brother of mine ;P

Nice. I wouldn't have thought to encorporate mine together...

I own Felonious and Fortitude both awesome names. Fort is a lab rat though. I purposefully created him as a grundo so he would be a dumb as a box of shoes. Felonious started as.. heck I forget what, but once he became a jetsam, I knew it was a perfect fit. Something about Felonious Jetsam, Private Eye just has a pleasing ring to it.

And don't forget Gnick the gnorbu and Knucklewing the Tyrannian Lenny. Within a day of Gnorbus being created all the best N names made with a G in front of them were taken. I'm surprised no one ever made a Hagnk, what with KOL's Hagnk. Surely there are a few KOL players on neopets.

I also have Lennbot and Lendroid in anticipation of a future robot lenny.

Felonious looks awesome. (great name, too) Great art, too! I love whoever did that!

By the way... the credit for the idea for this thread goes to thedupuisr, when he spoke of a bad name that he gave his pet (it no longer applies)

I'm pleased with all of my pets names, or else I wouldn't own them. But, if I have to choose favorites, I'm currently infatuated with my newest pets: Aluqard(adopted), Elysium(adopted), and drumroll if you please Starscreams (created). My intent is to turn Aluqard into a royalboy kyrii, paint or zap Elysium grey, and zap Starscream into a robot pteri.

Oh, for those of you young geeks, Starscream is a Transformer. Robot in disguise. Hopefully by the time the movie comes out next year, she'll actually be robot. My very own little Beast Machine. *squee*

Kess, love the fake Battledome challenge on Felonious' lookup. Laughed loud enough to startle my cat. :P

To be honest, I like almost all the names I've given to my more recent pets. My first names were long, awkward combinations of things plus numbers, because when I first started I thought the pet's name had to have 'em for some reason. It wasn't until I adopted Drilax that I found out that wasn't the case.

Druscylla, my Hissi, is probably one of my most favorite names. I couldn't believe it wasn't already taken, even though Drucilla's not a common girl's name anymore. The Scylla spelling was intentional, though it's kind of a long story as to why. Yeesh, I need to get back to work on these guys' stories.

Then there's Verakuros the Halloween Cybunny. He's based on an actual evil bunny character named Verak that I created years and years ago. Verak was taken, so I played around with the name some more and came up with this variation, which translates to "little lord Verak" in some Eastern European language which I can't for the life of me remember the name of.

Djauko the Darigan Blumaroo gets his name from a character that once appeared in the old cartoon show Freakazoid. It's kind of a long story, but the character was this balding, short guy who just sort of stood around with an idiot grin and never spoke except for an occasional "Eeeee!" Why I find this funny, I'll never know.

Kludgeus is my Ogrin. Back when they were first released, I saw a lot of complaining about how this pet just looked like a mish-mash of different animals. I personally didn't think it looked all that bad (still don't), and decided to make one if I could make up a good enough name. In yet another example of my mind working funny, I used the aforementioned complaint of Ogrins being a hodgepodge as a basis for the name, and looked up synonyms for "hodgepodge." Kludge was one of the words that came up, and I thought, "Holy crap, that's an Ogrin to me! It's clumsy, but it works!"

I guess pretty much all of my pets' names come from extremely random brain activity. God help my future kids, if I have any.

I'm pretty pleased with Iximcneesey's name. After trying tons of different names that were already taken, I was getting pretty frustrated. My cats name was Cheezit and my brother always called him Cheesymcneesey, so I decided to try that with my Ixi. I just wish I had a better imagination for coming up with names myself instead of stealing my brothers ideas.

When I first signed up for neopets, I kept getting the "that name has already been taken" problem, so SarahisQueen was the only thing I could get ok'd and that became my very first neopet ever. Not so pleased with the name, but the pet still has that special place in my heart.

Keiiser I adopted from the pound and I've taken to leaving the naming to those that abandon their pets. I'll only adopt pets with good names from the pound for zapping. Good for me = no numbers or symbols.
