Maybe Linae's medical problem was related to the food?
Or maybe she just saw it as embarrassing and not important?

SnarkieFan wrote:about not interviewing the first mate....well i'd guess that there would be no need for the captain to have us to interview him b/c they were always together.

I have a feeling that in a couple of days, when we still haven't found anything new, the Captain will say something like "Well our search for Hoban isn't making any progress. I guess you could try to talk to Shumi/Orrin if he saw anything, although I doubt it".

I think TNT choose to say that it was the last crewmember to investigate, so that we should start trying to find things to do with the plot.
It feels like we have started the first part of the plot now :D

Meanwhile, Hoban finds treasure maps in an old corner of the ship, but only feels to confide in Orrin and the Captain.
Shumi gets word of this through the Captain and tells Chef and Anshu.

Hoban overhears the plan and threatens (a little too loudly enough to halt conversation) his infamous prophecy........................................

...it all, but being locked away cannot see any details of the crime.

The rest of the crew are acting suspicious because both their Plan A and Plan B went wrong and they have not attained either their aim of mutiny or acquision of treasure maps.

:P Oh well, I think there is a conspiracy anyway but I don't know what it is.

.......*in awe* it is all so clear now...

Is it just me or is Kentari the only one that doesn't seem just a little bit suspicious at the moment? The other's all seem to have secrets, but whether or not they have anything to do with Hoban's disappearance is another thing...

Hoban overhears the plan and threatens (a little too loudly enough to halt conversation) his infamous prophecy.

Shumi, Chef and Anshu then conspire to poison Orrin and lock him in the storeroom so they can handle Hoban one on one later.
Linae got the plate of bad food by mistake.

Linae tells Anshu about her stomach discomfort so he plays Kou-Jong over some herbal tea to take her mind off things.
Anshu steals a Lost Desert piece of the game and plants it on Hoban hoping to blame Hoban if the mutiny plan goes wrong.
Unbeknownst to Hoban the game piece accidentally falls above deck near where he was seen last sulking.
Orrin, having bad eyesight, trips over the game piece, falls unconcsious and Shumi locks him away in the storeroom for "safety."
Linae is confused when she finds the evidence later in her herbally induced haze from Anshu's healing concoction.

When Anshu and Linae are called below deck to fix a leak, they capture and smuggle Hoban below deck, there is a struggle, but Hoban decides to jump ship with his maps.
Orrin hears it all, but being locked away cannot see any details of the crime.

The rest of the crew are acting suspicious because both their Plan A and Plan B went wrong and they have not attained either their aim of mutiny or acquision of treasure maps.

wow do you work there or something I mean you realy seem to know alot I got it now you did it. :roflol:

Nah, but it is really fun rearranging all the stories in your head and thinking of such possibilities when a plot is this boring.

Something just poked my brain at the beginning of all this and the back of my mind thought "Are we going to be tested on this later?" so basically all the stories have just been swirling around in my head too much. :P

EDIT: I bet Kentari was in on the mutiny too and told Chef to smuggle his sharpest knife to him to give to Anshu/Linae to threaten Hoban with. :o

Sorry indeed if this has been mentioned before, as I am normally here to read almost every post in relatively real time, heh. Is it just me or has TNT taken the links away from the other stories of the Flash comic now?

You might not be far from the truth, as the previous chapters of the comic are not accessible this time around. :)

First of all, just because it ALWAYS has to be mentioned after a new chapter comes out, Hoban just looks CRAZY in Anshu's story. He looks like a madman with that expression!

And secondly, Linae had a medical problem and they "lingered in the cabin for a little bit." But, he can't tell us what was her problem... However, if they lingered in the cabin, how come Linae's story has her perfectly fine in her room looking for kou-jong tiles?

Those two are clearly good friends, but they need to talk to each other about what their alibi is going to be before telling us (they did have a week to do so!), since their stories TOTALLY contradict each other. :p

Darnit, I knew I even noticed that reading this chapter first time around. Yawns. *Dreams of more theories.*

ggagahc: I believe that is commonly used by psychologists and priests and criminals (heh) when they also may need to hide a secret of their own. Anshu doesn't want to tell us any details because he has something to hide with Linae. Convenient excuse as the "medic" is all. See my fairly solid theory above.

LoL Well it's clear he's hiding something. That's a given.

I'm also curious...Anshu mentions that he heard Hoban get into another argument at 5:00! Oh noes! Now we have TIMES to work with! But who was Hoban arguing with? Linae? How could Anshu NOT know who Hoban was arguing with? With a crew that small, he'd HAVE to be able to identify voices!

As a side note, this chapter has made me love the oriental theme for the Ruki even more! YOU ROCK, ANSHU!!!!!

I kept some older screenies but my theory above outlines the most significant and suspicious parts, told from my point of view of course. Maybe someone can grab the flash file and we can all pick it apart?
Or if anyone wants to call me on my theory or ask questions I can tidy up some screenies and post (but tomorrow as is my sleep time, NST). :P

Yeah, about the time. Well we really only have ONE time to work with, unless in some twisted mad-plotting state TNT figured one of us could actually remember and relate actual real life times coinciding with the plot (and require it to be of signifigance, relevance and advancement in plot). Geez, I hope they haven't gone that mad. LOL

Though, I am sure there will be more told or revealed "soon."

About the times thing the cook said he saw Hoban aroung four and then an hour later which would be five-ish or right after he talked to Anshu.

Also didn't in that talk about food and eating from Linea she say something about a cassorole or something that didn't agree with her? An upset stomach ectera fits in with talking about a medical condition, specially as its not exactly a polite topic and Anshu strikes me as a really well mannered Ruki.

I just discovered something.
I was checking the writings on the map and played around with them.
If you rotate them 90 degrees and draw a line through the "text", you'll see that it spells out "MAO" backwards. :D
Another asian reference?
Is Sloth and Mao planning on taking over Neopia?
The other letters I came up with were ore1, 0re1, eoa1 and e0a1.

No, but seriously, nothing of value there. :(

oh dang, you mean they took out the previous chapters? oh no! i'd been planning to go over all the comics and make my own list of details and stuff, but just been busy at work. so now it seems i can't do that anymore... *sniff*

hey, didn't Linae mention in the previous comic that she helped Anshu below deck, but Anshu never talks about it. wait i think someone mentioned this in the previous thread...ehehe sorry.

Wouldn't it be a bit pointless having a test when there are petpages out there that have copies of all the comic so far? (I can't remember the address but there was one a few splits ago)

... unless it's going to be a cluedo style who did it, where, and with what...
